We loved our vintage home with character and chosen decor. David gave us a list of things to do, which we took him up on and had a great time. The place was clean and very cozy. We loved the Pure Michigan theme. Perfect for a weekend getaway! We will book with him again.

Rob was great. Our family returned to Alpena to go to our Mother’s funeral. It was the perfect location for our family to meet and to get my dog out for walks. I grew up in Alpena so to wake up and see Lake Huron was great. We have to go back to Alpena in July. Rob is truly a great host and the house is phenomenal. My wife and our dog will be back hopefully on a happier occasion.

Staying at Two Trees was the perfect fall weekend getaway for my husband, pup and I! The location was perfect to explore the Huron manistee National forest and do some hiking at the Lumberman’s memorial. We also went up to Alpena to try the breweries and the winery. We really enjoyed the Alcona brew haus in harrisville as well - they catered to my husbands allergies and had many vegetarian options for me! Their Oktoberfest was my favorite beer I tried. Our favorite part of the trip was staying at the cabin though - the beach access was amazing and we loved relaxing by the water or walking and rock hunting. The queen bed was also very comfortable and the house has all the amenities you could think of. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking to spend some time in the area, at the beach, or in the National forest!

Very nice little place to stay and it was exactly what we needed. We were in the area for snowmobile races and it worked out perfectly for us. The listing photos matched the description, and for our little family of 3 it was perfect. It might be a little crowded if you were trying to put 6 people at the house, but, if you don't mind togetherness, it would be fine :) I always prefer to rent a house over a hotel room. Blake and Thomas were extremely helpful and quick to respond to messages. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Excellent hosts ! They respond immediately and go the extra mile with special requests. I had mentioned I was light sensitive so on our second stay they upgraded the curtains in the main bedroom! Just amazing hospitality.

The place was incredible. Access to beach front was amazing with a cool set-up on the bluffs. Ashel was a fantastic host. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Nice place, beach is amazing! It’s a beach house so can’t expect it to be spotless but they did a great job.

Margie and Chris were excellent hosts. The communication was great throughout. Clearly, things were thought through to make the guest experience as good as possible; extra pillows, blankets, toilet paper, paper towel, etc. They left pamphlets for the area sights to see, which was very helpful. The weather was hot the first night and cold the last night of my stay and Margie ensured that I was comfortable both nights - and even offered to bring over an extra heater on the cold night. It was a private, quiet place to spend some time, but there is also a lot to do around the area within reasonable driving distance - Connie’s Cafe, which is only 7 minutes away, is a must visit. There is also Dinosaur Gardens right across the street which was pretty cool. The sinkholes and Presque Isle lighthouses are about a 45 minute drive away but are worth the trip if you like scenic drives, lighthouses, nature and plenty of Lake Huron views. All in all, this was a five star stay. Thanks, Margie!

Great place, great location! This place was perfect for our stay with our dog. The space was clean and cozy! The back yard views are stunning. Very relaxing to hear the lake with the windows open. Ron was very welcoming and his place is wonderful, would definitely come back and will recommend to friends and family!

House was beautiful don’t feel like an apartment at all I was quite surprised how big the home was very clean quiet spacious.

Rachel was a fantastic host who truly cares about her guests’ experiences. You can tell that a lot of hard work has gone into the space and she is doing a fantastic job. The decor was very fitting for a beach location and the place was very clean and inviting. The resort is a work in progress, but if the whole thing turns out as well as the freshly renovated unit that we stayed in, it will thrive as a top destination in Oscoda for years to come. Rachel’s communication was top notch and we really enjoyed our stay.

5 star out of 5 is not even close!!!! 10 out of 5 would be more accurate. You will not find a cleaner, more well- planned/ use of space, and friendlier hosts. Joanne and Tim went so far above and beyond with so many thoughtful, personal touches. From the fresh baked bread, custom selected wine, painted rock, and hand written thank you card, and it does not stop there. Plain and simple, if you are reading this review, book it now before it's too late, because I will never stay anywhere else if I am in the area. To all other airbnb hosts, these two have set the bar. Good luck even coming close.

The place was a great location - very close and walkable to downtown. It was exactly as pictured and described. The host was very responsive and helpful.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Even though there are other cabins with guests it was really peaceful and quiet. Our dogs loved playing in the water and there was a big area for them to run around. Great recommendation to go walk around at the lighthouse. Will definitely be returning again ❤️💯

Me and my girls had a fantastic time. The rooms were nice and the view was too die for. Well be coming back!

Stayed in Unit #7 at the Motel which included a kitchenette for cooking light meals. The cable/satellite TV and Wi-Fi worked great; however, the cell service was spotty in the area. The resort sits right on Grand Lake, a beautiful setting behind a row of private cabins and offers a nice view of the Lake. Rental includes guest access to the common beach area. Loraine was very accommodating and helpful with explaining the amenities available. I will definitely consider staying there again!

Grand Lake Cottages is a FABULOUS place to stay. Lori is sooooooooo amazing and she makes you feel right at home like being old friends. The view of the lake is gorgeous even from our suite we stayed in. Very dog friendly as well. Beauty at it's finest!!! Thank You!!!!! Pure Michigan 100%
