“Absolutely everything you could want in a cabin. Check in was super easy and Theresa was so thoughtful with her cleanliness and her helpful tips to give the best experience in the cabin. Being in a secluded area was awesome- we had a fire (Theresa provided the firewood) and you could hear the nature around you. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Above and beyond my expectations for this stay.”

“I almost didn’t want to even write a review because I don’t want people to know how awesome this place is! BUT I HAVE TO GET THE WORD OUT!😍 Craig and his wife are so kind. The place was awesome. We had campfires, boating, kayaking, hikes, beautiful scenery, quietness, peace, adventure. The day trips to the Garden Peninsula, Grand Marais, Pictures Rocks, Munising, Escanaba, Stonington Peninsula were so easy because of the location of this place. I can’t say enough good things! We couldn’t ask for more!”
Beautiful year round beach house. This tiny house is located on Second Sand Beach. Guests will enjoy an all sand beach on Lake Superior. It is 8 miles from the town of L’Anse, and a 40 minute drive to Houghton. Cross country ski trails, snowmobile trails, hiking trails, and ORV trails are minutes away. Participate in the many summer and winter fishing tournaments in the area or relax and unwind on the private beach. A boat launch area is a short walk down the beach.
“Booked this place to spend a couple days exploring the waterfalls in the UP. We ended up spending more time at the beach house itself. The beach house has an outdoor house on the back of the deck to wash your sandy feet off, dont forget bug spray, but when it cools down at night allot of the bugs go away making it perfect for star gazing on the beach. Dont trap yourself with buying firewood, there seems to be a plentiful amount there and the host even left us a stack of logs (maybe ask if there's still a supply just in case. The people are friendly, the neighbor dogs are friendly. This place is perfect for getting the "beach house" experience and is wonderful if you love wildlife. (Butterfluys, frogs, trurtles). We were lucky to have such phenomenal weather and blue skys, but dont expect to be able to swim (the water is cold even on a 90 degree day in june) I went about knees deep in the water and spent my time watching the tides switch throughout the day. The neighbors were kayaking with the tides up and down the coast of sand bay. I recommend spending the couple bucks on a UP travel book to find some of the hidden and less traveled treasures. Silver falls Is about a 15min drive from the beach house but definitely one of the places to check out.”
