Red Dog Retreat is settled back from the road amongst the trees. 2.75 mi directly up the hill from downtown Broad St. A 7min easy drive to Historic Downtown Nevada City & 15mins to the Yuba River. Walking and biking trails are steps away from our property and we are a short drive to Scott's Flat Reservoir. Bring your boats, bikes & kayaks! Grill and sit around the fire pit on our wrap around deck. We love our peaceful home and look forward to sharing it with guests from all backgrounds.

Enjoy entire home well maintained for over 100 years with large back yard and patio. Located in historic railroad town of Colfax just a few blocks from Interstate 80. Drive 20 to 45 minutes to play in the snow in winter at Nyack, Boreal or Sugar Bowl and in summer there is plenty of hiking, biking, boating, and relaxing at nearby Rollins Lake, American River, Yuba River, Tahoe National Forest and Donner Summit. We are about 15 minutes away from downtown Grass Valley and Nevada City. Yuba River, mountain biking, and hiking are about 20 minutes away from the house. Skiing is about 50 miles away.

You will share the house with a totally separate apartment on the ground level. The Madrone Studio is great for rest, relaxation, and being close to nature.
