Vacation rentals in Amakusa

This is my 1st time booking a Japanese airbnb, have to submit Passport details for all the guests which was a first for me. A few steps required to go through to complete the booking, Other than that the place was spotless, convenient to park the car at the place itself which was a bonus. The challenge is the room is on the 2nd floor and you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Not for elderly or those with kids. Thank you

생각보다 너무나도 넓은 숙소에 들어가자마자 감탄이 나왔습니다. 안내해주시는 할아버지도 매우 친절하게 집안을 설명해주셨고 모든게 만족스러웠습니다. 하루만 머물기에 너무 아쉬웠습니다.

The experience we had at Kaori and Isao’s guest house was truly extraordinary. We received a heartwarming welcome from Kaori, who introduced us to the house and explained everything we needed to know with exceptional kindness and charm. The house itself is both cozy and modern. It feels slightly more spacious than the photos suggest and is perfect for 2 to 3 people, though up to 4 guests can sleep there. Unfortunately, the weather during our two-day stay was rainy, so we couldn’t enjoy the rooftop. But we spent lovely hours inside the warm and inviting house. We also had the chance to enjoy some homemade coffee and cakes from Kaori, which were absolutely delicious! The house is in a great location, with plenty to explore in the surrounding nature. We also visited the largest onsen in western Japan and loved it. All in all, we recommend staying at least 3, or even 4 nights, to truly experience the beauty of Kyushu without rushing and because of the amazing hospitality of Kaori!

とても清潔で快適で過ごしやすいコテージでした。 ミントグリーンの差し色がキュートな内装です。食器類まで統一感のあるかわいい空間でした。 お掃除は隅々まで行き届いていてどこもピカピカです。 アメニティは充実しているだけでなく、ホストの心遣いが随所に感じられるラインナップでした。 とてもうれしかったです。 タオルがたくさんあるのもありがたい！ お布団は清潔でよく手入れされており、とても気持ちが良かったです。 ロケーションも最高。早起きすると有明海から登る朝日が見られます。 雲仙の影も美しかった。 毎日徒歩数分のところにある海で遊びました。 透明度抜群の本当に美しい海で5泊しましたが全く飽きませんでした。 またぜひうかがいたいです。

Of all the airbnbs I have stayed over the years, this was probably my nicest experience to date. The site the property is located on is stunning. The house itself is traditional yet high end and tastefully decorated. I have never seen such a large wooden bath tub! The experienced available at the property are one of a kind: a peek into authentic Japanese culture. We did Kyudo and Taiko - both were very memorable in different ways. To top of off, the service provided was so accomodating, relaxed, and thorough. We didn't drive there, so were dropped at different restaurabts in the evenings. Transport options to the property were provided, and they even helped to book an onward taxi. Don't miss this place if you are visiting Kyushu.
