“I want to start off by saying this is by far the best Air BnB experience I’ve had thus far. As soon as we got off the bus in Amalfi, he was there waiting for us to help us to the room which is by the way a very short 1 min walk. We had a total of four bags and we didn’t have to carry one up the stairs. He showed us around the stunning apartment and made sure we knew how to work everything! Mind you, the apartment is quite wonderful and has one of the best views I’ve ever seen. Later on he recommended us restaurants and things to see in town. He provided us with fresh linen and towels when needed and was very responsive with any questions we had. I don’t usually take my time with reviews, but this is one I had to make sure was well thought out! I will be back and I highly recommend this lovely apartment with a wonderful host!”
“Anna's place is amazing, and me and my friend had a great stay! We didn't expect so many stairs, but she and her husband helped to carry our two big suitcases all the way up and down. The flat is top the hill, with the view of the cathedral and even a big of the sea! We arrived quite late but imagine the surprise we had in the morning with the stunning sunrise up the Mediterranean Sea! About the flat, it's super clean and tidy. Anna is such a good host, giving us detailed checkin instructions and tourist information about the town. The restaurant recommended by her is absolutely delicious. We actually thought that restaurant deserve a Michelin star. Although we just stayed for one night, but it's given so good impression. I would definitely recommend to others and would probably stay in the next trip! Anna's homestay is so nice, clean and tidy, she also provides very fresh fruit. Mainly she is very nice, big-tempered beauty, and a very diligent husband and handsome son who helped us carry boxes. My friends and I stayed in the ocean view room on the top of the mountain with little effort. The Mediterranean sunrise in the morning is always unforgettable!”
The apartment is located in the central Piazza Duomo in Amalfi, next to the spectacular Sant'Andrea Cathedral. Its location offers a wonderful view of both the seafront promenade and Piazza Duomo. Also, you will be within walking distance of all the services you need for your stay: the beach, the bus station, the pier from where ferries leave. It has 2 bedrooms, a living room / kitchen for a total of 5 beds, 1 bathroom.
“Stayed at Andrea's place for 5 nights in February, and everything was just as described. Andrea is a wonderful host, and the apartment is sparkling clean. The location is amazing, actually sharing one wall with the Duomo, and in the very center of town. Amalfi itself was a gem of a town, amazingly beautiful, and very authentic - much less touristy than Positano and Capri. There are a lot of steps to climb, but if you don't like steps, then the Amalfi coast is not the place for you. As stated in previous reviews, the ceilings of the apartment are sloped significantly, and the shower is very tiny, but even at 6'6" everything was manageable for me. The two bedrooms were very spacious, and the kitchen was large and well equipped. The terrace is wonderful, and actually wraps around the apartment, giving two separate, equally spectacular views. https://maps.app.goo.gl/cPErbNeC3ixTTdLn8 Visiting in February was interesting. We were fortunate to have great weather the whole week. A lot of places in the area are closed for the winter, but there still plenty of stores and restaurants open. The ferry schedule is limited during the winter. It was definitely nice to not have to deal with the summer crowds and traffic. We hiked the Path of the Gods, and this was probably the highlight of our trip. Simply breathtaking! Best way to do this is to take bus from Amalfi to Bomerano, then hike the trail, 2-3 hours depending on how often you stop to enjoy the views, to the town of Nocelle. From there you take the bus down to Positano, or you can walk down the 1600 step staircase if you are still up for it. Then another bus from there back to Amalfi. We also hiked to Torre dello Ziro, a castle that you can see from the terrace. This was also beautiful, but much more strenuous, climbing 850 meters elevation, a LOT of stairs. We highly recommend Amalfi, and Andrea's place.”
