The Estate under the Abbey

A cozy gîte (43m2) located in the countryside 5 minutes away from the horse town of Pompadour. Here you will find a beautiful castle, racecourse, eateries, terraces and shops. There are nice villages nearby, with markets, hiking trails, swimming lake and swimming pools within driving distance. The gîte has a private parking space and an enclosed garden. This recently restored boathouse will give you a real switch off from the modern world feel, no tv or wifi to complicate things, just birdsong and views across the lake. Sleep up in the bedroom or on the extremely comfortable sofabed if climbing the stairs is not for you. Relax on the terrace, take a siesta in the hammock. Within 1hr of the Dordogne, numerous chateaux at 20 mins as well as some lovely local villages. Come and unwind.
