Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ashe County

Place was adorable. Loved all the details that made it feel so cozy and homey. Most importantly, it was very clean. Cleanliness is key for me. So it definitely checked off that box. They had the sweetest animals across the street that were so ridiculously friendly. They also had the cutest honey shop. Everything was BEEutiful! Loved our stay. Thank you.

Had all the amenities of home. Well taken care of and comfortable space. Lots of nice touches. Very well stocked house and high quality items! We very much enjoyed our stay and would book again.

The listing said it had a really well stocked kitchen and sometimes Airbnb listing's say that but they don't. This one is above and beyond. everything about this place is wonderful from the views to the fireplace to the comfy beds and furniture. The hosts were always very quick and helpful in responding to questions. I think it's absolutely well worth the price and we will absolutely be coming back

We had an amazing stay and thoroughly enjoyed the front yard for all day sledding! The house was spacious - perfect for our four families! Most importantly, the hosts were super friendly and responsive to any questions we had! We will definitely be back to enjoy the river in the summer!!

Me and my friends had an amazing time at the Carter Cottage! It was very clean and beautifully decorated. The owner has the TVs set up where you can stream movies in every room as well as the living room. And we loved that the house was close enough to walk to the neighboring park for when you feel more like getting out in nature. The cottage is also a short drive to downtown West Jefferson where there are so many cool shops to stop in. Susan was very helpful with giving instructions to find the place, since google maps can be a little confusing. It was overall a great experience and we plan to be back next year!

Her place was absolutely lovely, so clean and very well stocked, great hot tub, close drive to Boone and Banner Elk , we rode the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster in Banner Elk and great shopping in Boone , we all had a fantastic time and would not hesitate to rebook with her again, thanks again Brenna !!

The home and grounds were pristine, private and beautiful. We enjoyed the space for our animals and family to spread out and then come back to together. The fire area outside with the hot tub was a huge win for the grandkids. The inside was perfectly appointed and well stocked. We will return here as a family! Perfect fit for our big growing family.

This home was perfect for our needs in a recent trip to visit our daughter in Vilas, TN. We also visited with our grandson at Appalachian State and this home was convenient for that as well. The entire house was clean and uncluttered while still having everything we could possibly need. The setting was beautiful, quiet and peaceful, which suited us perfectly. Comfortable bed and bedding, comfortable living room with great TV reception and a lovely gas fireplace. The heating system in the living room worked well and was adequate for the entire house. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. The bathroom had plenty of towels and hot water and the shower water pressure was great. It was a very pleasant experience and we are so happy our daughter found this house for us. We will be staying there for our future trips to the area. We highly recommend Marta and this home.

Quick weekend trip with friends to the Hills of NC! Great getaway and Sarah's Place fit our vibe perfectly!!! Loved walking all over town from our location! Will stay here again!

Eduardo is a responsive and helpful host. His basement apartment was the perfect place for our family to enjoy Beech Mountain. Warm, cozy, with all comforts of home provided. Very close to ski resort. Absolutely loved seeing deer right outside. Great place at a great value.

We really enjoyed our time. I wish the piano was more in tune, but no complaints about our stay.

If you’re planning to go to the slopes this is a perfect place. Host is responsive and nice!

This bottom floor apartment was in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood that was close to all the West Jefferson places we like to visit. It was clean and organized. I loved the little “extra thoughtful amenities” that were available if you forgot things from home. My favorite part was sitting on the porch drinking coffee relaxing while two hummingbirds hovered for a minute.

Kelly's 2nd Street Retreat is spectacular. From the high end appliances and fixtures, to the cleanliness and spaciousness of the unit, the breathtaking art (Kelly is an amazing artist), exquisite decor, the comfortable beds and linens, perfect water pressure, lots of lamps and seating, my group of four felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is in the heart of West Jefferson so we could easily walk to restaurants and shops. Access was super easy. We parked right in front of the unit with no problem. Kelly was friendly and responsive and communicated instructions/suggestions/recommendations clearly. Checkout instructions were clear, easy and not burdensome at all. On a scale of 10, my entire group would rate our stay at least a 15. We definitely hope to stay here again when we return to West Jefferson.

Edwin’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway for me and my fiancé. Super close to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The host also recommended great places to rent gear, etc. We loved it and would recommend their place if you’re looking for a place to stay close to the ski resort!!

Very nice place to stay. Beautiful view. Deer right out the back door. Quick responses. The house was big enough for 9 of us to stay comfortably.

Ron and Martha were the perfect hosts for our family's Thanksgiving weekend. The house is stunning and the views breathtaking. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen which provided everything new needed to cook all weekend. Ron and Martha provided detailed directions and instructions for our arrival and parking and were super responsive to our questions. We look forward to being able to stay here again!
