“We felt very comfortable with Sue and Hennie in the accommodation, the room is furnished with a lot of love, Sue is a very attentive host, she had left us for delicious cookies. I can only recommend the accommodation, the view of the mountains was super beautiful and two family dogs are totally friendly and kind, they also gave us very good tips. If we are there again we will come back :)”

Ideal for 2 couples or small family. LONG STAY OPTION COVID-10 POLICY Ample time for a deep clean of the cottage with no ‘same-day’ turnovers.
“Major View Guesthouse is an amazing getaway place. It is so peaceful with the most beautiful view. The host, Matthys is so friendly and helpful and responded quickly to any message. The splash pool is stunning as you sit on the steps in the cool water, with a glass of wine looking over the farm with noone in sight. The stop is large with an outside table. The house is clean and spacious with everything you need. There is coffee, tea and sugar and even a complimentary milk in the fridge. Ample wingerdstompies for your braai is provided along with braai and grid. It has two large rooms with ensuites in both. A big lounge and open plan kitchen. Even has a TV with Netflix and wifi for those TV lovers. Will definitely recommend and will be going back.”
The Klein Nektar Farm Cottage ticks all the urban-yet-rural boxes. This gorgeous self-catering cottage is nestled on the magnificent 3 hectare Klein Nektar Wine & Olive Estate right in the heart of historic Montagu and it is only a short stroll from several restaurants and shops.
“We were actually only looking for a stop halfway between the Garden Route and Cape Town. Then we fell in love with this great cottage while browsing here. But: In fact, the stay was a lot better. Firstly, there is Montagu, the most beautifully cleaned spot that we saw on the Cape in four weeks. Thatched houses, lavishly planted front gardens, hot springs for a relaxing afternoon (it is best to stay 2-3 nights) and a fantastic view of the mountains. Oh yes, Montagu is sure too, feels more like Europe. And secondly, there is Kai and Alan's beautiful cottage: right in the village and yet in the middle of nature, with a view of olive groves, vines, mountains. With plenty of room for two couples or a small family. In addition, the good feeling of Airbnb, as it was in the beginning: With real hosts on site, who personally show you everything and of course reveal the best tips on site. So: a really great stop half way on the well-known Route 62, which was more than that.”
