It was built in 1847, as it is written on the left of the entrance, by the merchant and nobleman of the island, Dimitrios Michael Georgiadis, the so-called "Pasha", for his mansion appearance.At that time, when the island was under the occupation of the Turks, the space served as a storage room for sponges, since sponge fishing flourished on the island, testified to by the chalkades that survived on the dome-roof until today.
