Family-friendly vacation rentals in Avola

Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement par Benedetta, malgré une arrivée très tardive dû à un retard d’avion. La communication a été très fluide, et Benedetta a tout mis en œuvre pour que nous passions un séjour agréable. Je recommande de prendre la demi-pension avec la Cheffe Rita : cuisine typiquement Sicilienne, familiale, c’est un vrai + pour le grand groupe que nous étions (18 personnes). Les extérieurs et toutes les installations qui l’accompagnent sont fabuleux ! Piscine, grande véranda avec musique, baby-foot, billards, ping-pongs…. Les intérieurs se divisent en 3 logements distincts : 1 appartement en rez de villa, et deux chalets. Ils sont un peu plus rustiques, et les chambres de l’appartement sont sans fenêtre. Mais nous avons fait avec, et finalement l’ensemble du séjour était très agréable. Mention spéciale pour la gentillesse de Benedetta et sa famille , merci à vous.

We had an outstanding experience here. Was excellent. Giuseppe was so welcoming and oriented us to the area and gave us recommendations. He really took pride in his and had a great personal touch. The space is very large and airy, I would say here without hesitation in the future.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft. Der Blick aufs Meer ist atemberaubend, die hintere Terrasse eignet sich gut zum Grillen. Es gibt sogar einen Pizzaofen, den wir aber nicht benutzt haben. Der Pool ist klein, aber zum abkühlen und zur Massage gut geeignet. Das Haus war super sauber und Chiara ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

What a lovely house this is! With a beautiful garden all around and seating areas everywhere for sun or shade. The swimming pool and jacucci are perfect for cooling off or enjoying the evening. And you can walk straight to the beach or to the nearby pleasant town of Marzamemi. We immediately felt at home after we were welcomed by Rosanna. Fortunately, it was not a problem that we arrived very late. We had contact a few times during the week and minor problems were resolved immediately. All this ensured that we had a fantastic week in Sicily! ps : because we visited some nearby towns by car ( e.g. Noto, Syracusa, Modica, Marina Di Ragusa, Brucoli, Pozzallo) I had the opportunity to see a few other vacation rentals I found on Airbnb in advance. So happy I chose the perfect place!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der schönen und grossen Villa von Francesco sehr genossen. Sowohl die Villa, wie auch der phantastische Pool waren blitzsauber. Die Nachbarschaft ist sehr ruhig und angenehm und die Lage ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge in die Umgebung. Die Villa ist somit sehr zu empfehlen!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Sebastiano. Le logement n'est pas très grand mais très bien agencé, propre et pratique, avec tous les équipements nécessaires. Les lits sont très confortables et la maison calme, à 15 minutes en voiture de Syracuse et à côté de la mer. Le gros plus de la maison est sans aucun doute la piscine dans le joli jardin, dont nous avons profité tous les jours de nos vacances d'avril. Merci à Sebastiano et ses proches pour ces merveilleuses vacances. Nous espérons séjourner de nouveau chez eux à Syracuse.

We had such a lovely family holiday! Visit was perfect in size/location and amenities! We visited the beach at Sampieri most days for a coffee and Modica Marina was lovely. The town of Scicli is beautiful with many restaurants to try local cuisine. We had a chef come to the villa one evening which was AMAZING all organised by Oriana! We visited Noto and Modica! Both worth a visit! Kids loved the hot tub and even though we went in April we had a few days where we swam in the pool too. Villa was great for the kids as garden all flat and easy to navigate with little legs. All the bedrooms has en suites too which is ideal for groups. We used the bbq most evenings and even had an extra wood delivery which came straight away. Communication was great and always very helpful! Highly recommend this villa and the area!

Nous avons passé six jours fort agréables dans cette jolie maison isolée. La ville d’Ispica est toute proche. Nous avons apprécié la qualité, la diversité et l’abondance des équipements, en particulier dans la cuisine, au point où nous avons cuisine tous nos repas du soir. Le contact avec les propriétaires était sympathique et efficace. Une belle expérience !

This is a convenient flat with loads of great restaurants etc nearby. We recommend a great local bar/restaurant Il Quarto steak house. Proper local bar, full all the time when most other restaurants empty, wide selection of great food, proper bar staff, etc. Parking was Ok. Easy walk to the archeological park which was fantastic. Only issue we faced was that the spiral staircase to the bedroom is hard to negotiate with a large suitcase and you have to do a steep up and down staircase to access the front door - it was not too much of a problem for us as we are fit but it might be hard for some people

C’est avec plaisir que nous avons séjourné chez Lorenzo. Le lieu est vraiment paisible, calme et reposant. On peut y flâner tranquillement, choisir le meilleur endroit pour se poser prendre l’apéritif, en ayant le plaisir de déguster le très bon vin et le saucisson produits et offerts par les propriétaires. La maison est de plus à 15 minutes de l’aéroport de Comiso. Notre seul regret est que le temps ne nous ait pas permis de profiter de la très belle piscine qui est une véritable invitation à la baignade ! C’est une très belle adresse que je recommande !

He was an amazing, fantastic and kind host, very understanding of my families needs, flexible with check in and check out when we were in a jam. Very responsive to any issues we had. Located on a quiet street with free parking and €20 a day lot as well but only one block from the Main Street of Noto. The roof has a fantastic view that is nice to relax on in the morning and at night. When we checked out he gave us fresh bread that was fantastic and warm and it was his Birthday, if I could give him extra stars I would and I would definitely love to come back. Thank you thank you! We loved our stay.

L'appartement est très agréable et idéalement situé en plein centre d'Ortigia. La rue est calme et tous les commerces et restaurants sont accessibles à pied. La communication a été facile et les propriétaires nous ont aidé à réserver un parking avant notre arrivée.

We had a wonderful week at Adele’s place. It’s very light and airy and extremely spacious for a couple. The gardens are very private and much bigger than we expected and the pool was superb for cooling off after a busy day sightseeing and certainly big enough to get some exercise too. Modica is well placed for exploring the baroque towns and we particularly enjoyed Ragusa/Ibla and Scicli. Adele was very discreet, not at all intrusive but there if we needed her. A few nights after we arrived she gifted us some local oranges which were the best we’ve ever tasted! A very genial host and a lovely property.

Die Erfahrungen, die wir in diesem wunderschönen Landhaus als Gäste von Vincenzo gemacht haben sind unbeschreiblich: Zum einen ist die Unterkunft perfekt gelegen auf einem Berg mit einem weiten Blick ins Tal, umsäumt von mehreren Blumenwiesen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr weitläufig und hat eine große Terrasse. Alles war sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. An den Abenden war es im April noch recht kühl, deshalb haben wir den Kamin benutzt. Wofür alles nötige zusammen- und bereitgestellt war und wir die Wärme genießen konnten. Zum anderen sind das Highlight Vincenzo selbst und seine Tiere, die ebenfalls auf dem Anwesen leben. Wir haben ausführlich Tipps für die Umgebung bekommen und wurden immer herzlich von allen begrüßt und beschnuppert :) Insgesamt ein delight!

We loved our stay at Charlotte’s place. The pool area and gardens are lovely - your own private oasis. It was a 1 minute walk to a good sized supermarket and a bus stop with easy access to Syracuse / Ortigia. Highly recommend as a base to explore Sicily - a car is useful but you could also use public transit. Finally Charlotte was a lovely host - checked us in promptly and left us to enjoy our stay, but was right there if we needed anything. We thought the place was excellent value for money and would love to return sometime!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Jochen & Katia's place. The location is excellent, with several beautiful beaches & a supermarket all within a 15-minute drive. The nearby town of Pachino offers fantastic fish markets, cafes, and bakeries, & a 30-minute drive to Noto made for a wonderful day trip, even on a rainy day. The property is well-maintained, & the pool is a great feature. However, there were a couple of small issues that could improve the experience. The security lights in the rooms were quite sensitive, & any movement at night caused red and green flashing lights to disturb the darkness. It would be helpful if these could be covered or adjusted. Additionally, while the kitchen was generally well-equipped, a sharp knife would have been a useful addition. Lastly, our host Carla was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, we had a comfortable and convenient stay, but with these minor tweaks, it could be even better.

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in dieser schönen Unterkunft nahe Noto. Das Apartment ist wie auf den Bildern: großzügig, gemütlich und mit einer tollen Terrasse zum Essen und Entspannen. Besonders gefallen hat uns der ruhige, idyllische und namensgebende Garten voller Zitrusbäume sowie die optimale Parkplatzsituation direkt vor Ort. Die Lage ist ideal—nur 10 Autominuten bis ins Zentrum von Noto, nahe Syrakus, schöner Strände und guter Restaurants. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Trotz warmer Märztage war der Pool leider geschlossen und die Liegen erst später nutzbar und vorangegangene Besucher haben die Teflonpfannen stark zerkratzt, sodass wir die ungern benutzt haben. Aber auch dafür fand sich eine Lösung - das Team ist höchst professionell. Insgesamt klare Empfehlung!

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux dans ce logement ! Les hôtes étaient tout simplement adorables, toujours prêts à rendre service et très accueillants. Leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité ont rendu l’expérience encore plus agréable. Le logement était propre, confortable et conforme à la description. Je recommande vivement cet endroit et je reviendrai avec plaisir ! Un bel endroit paisible et agréable. Merci Giuseppe et à sa famille !!

Eine tolle Unterkunft, wenn man auf der Suche nach Ruhe ist. Tolle Lage, gute Ausstattung und ein erfrischender Pool machten den Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft mehr als erträglich. Der Gastgeber war sehr kommunikativ und hat uns viele nützliche Tips gegeben.

Très bon séjour passé en famille chez Corrado dont l'accueil et les bons conseils ont été très appréciés ! Le logement est très fonctionnel et comprend une belle piscine ainsi qu' un magnifique jardin ce qui le rend très agréable après les visites... Il est par ailleurs très bien situé, proche des principaux points d'intérêts du sud est de la Sicile . Adresse à recommander sans hésiter !

This is the essence of a beautiful Italian villa in the country side. Felt like I was stepping into Downton Abbey on the beautifully kept period apartment with ample room. Do note that the three bedrooms are adjoining as is in keeping with the era of the design. A gorgeous balcony overlooking the property, beautiful pool with shady spaces to read a book. While you will need a car to fully enjoy this beautiful location the grocery shop is a short 10 min drive, restaurants the same. 20 min from foodie capital and stunning Ibla of Ragusa. Sad we couldn’t extend our stay as Antonio was fully booked. Antonio is a responsive generous host. Provided recommendations on everything from beaches, restaurants, walks, museums, cooking classes and more upon arrival. Gave a detailed introduction to the estate and grounds including the history of the building and his family. Honestly I couldn’t recommend staying with Antonio more.

Location parfaite. Nous avons adorés notre séjour avec nos 2 filles (12 et 17 ans). Accueil chaleureux, environnement propice à la détente. Logement propre avec tout le confort nécessaire et exacte aux photos. Les extérieurs sont magnifiques et bien entretenu : palmiers, piscine, loisirs... La mer proche vous permettra de découvrir une plage naturelle sans bâtiment à proximité. Idéale pour découvrir la Sicile Baroque : Siracusa, Noto, Marzameni, Ragusa... Nous recommandons sans hésitation ce logement. Merci à Ninetta et Guiseppe pour leurs gentillesses et disponibilités du début à la fin de notre séjour.
