Joannie’s place is beautiful, it feels like a home and has everything that you need with lots of space. It is perfect for both town and also a short walk from Ballyholme beach. Joannie is very responsive to any questions. Just perfect!

communication before and during our trip was excellent. Our host went above and beyond for us..not only was homemade sodabread, Jam and the basic necessities available we arrived to Easter buns too. one of our children had a yearning for mango pepsi which he'd tasted before in NI and several trips and phonecalls by our host were made to try find him a can! we arrived to a cosy fire lit by him and he offered many occasions to light it and got the snooker room ready for us which was a great hit with the kids. lovely space outside to play and even enjoy the Easter egg hunt. our sleeping arrangements were great...privacy for parents and plenty of space to sleep for 4 kids if the sofa bed is used. all said they slept well in comfortable beds. I would recommend staying here ..great base for Strangford lough...Newtownards and Newcastle for climbing Slieve Donard. thankyou hosts!

What an amazing cottage! The photos to not do this place justice. We were a family of 5 adults and one child and Glen cottage could not have met our needs more. Kate was an absolute delight to deal with, quick to reply, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her. We were left some lovely wine, coffee and chocolates that came in very handy indeed. The Seaviews are stunning and only a short walk to the lovely Ballyholme beach. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had everything you could ever need from an air B and B and it was so warm with plenty of hot water for the weekend. It is a very peaceful setting and like another review said, there was enough space to be together as a family but also plenty of rooms if you wanted to be alone. It was really easy to get into Bangor as well as a great road up to Belfast. There is a coastal route signed outside the cottage which we really enjoyed. We cannot wait to return to Glen Cottage in the near future. It really was a 5 star stay :)

Just home from a 3 night stay at Teal Cottage. We (my husband, 3 children and a fluffy dog) absolutely loved our time there. The house was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and surrounded by mature gardens and stables that we had access to. The kitchen with its view of the lough was an enjoyable place to relax. Their 2 dogs, Stich and Gilly, were lovable characters who were persistent for cuddles. We spent a fun day at the National Trust estate of Castleward and another day at Delamont Country Park, walking the grounds with our labradoodle and going on the miniature train.

We loved our stay at Elaine’s place. The bungalow was cosy, warm and comfortable. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. The bungalow has beautiful panoramic views and is situated in a quiet and private location. Perfect to sit out in the morning or evening and enjoy the sounds of the birds and feel the sun warming you as you sit with your book and a cup of tea. There was enough space outside for our two teenage boys to kick a ball around and amuse themselves each evening. There were many beautiful places to visit within easy driving distance of the cottage and a large supermarket only 5 minutes away. Elaine is friendly and very responsive if you have any questions and will not hesitate to help you quickly if you need anything. We would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful place to stay. Felt like a boutique hotel. Really big and lots of space for our group of 6. Loved the 2 en-suite bathrooms. Great location. Easy walking distance into the town and along the seafront. Would definitely stay again

Amazing location and views . It was a great location for us to explore Bangor while visiting family . Great showers and spacious . The welcome wine, chocolates and fresh flowers were a lovely touch . Thoroughly recommend .

We stayed at the Little Green Beach Hut in Carlingford, Co. Down for a three-night fishing weekend. Although we didn’t catch any fish, we really enjoyed our stay. The beach hut was basic but comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The location was great, just a few yards from Daft Eddie’s Restaurant, which was very convenient. The scenery was beautiful, and we loved watching the yachts from the hut. We didn’t spot any seals or otters, but the peaceful surroundings more than made up for it. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and the weather was kind to us too. Overall, it was a lovely getaway, and we would happily recommend it for a quiet, scenic stay.
