Beautiful thatched cottage, with 3 double bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms. The beamed sitting room leads onto a split level patio for dining under a gazebo. The kitchen is very well equipped. In the large secluded garden is a walled swimming pool with changing facilities, plus cedar hot tub with decking. Large, private parking area. The hot tub is available year round by prior arrangement, the swimming pool being available from May until September. All adjacent to a country footpath and farmland.
“With the current pandemic we are currently experiencing, it was a really hard decision whether myself and my other half should come.. we are so glad we did! As soon as we arrived, we received a lovely welcome from Jean (at a distance of course) who told us what to do. From that point, we were in communication with the hosts on a daily basis! It was lovely to step into a cottage where it feels as though you have backtracked to many years ago. The grounds are simply stunning. The annexe itself is beautiful and unique. The hospitality was 100%. However if you are tall (my other half is 6ft 4), be careful of the door frames. I found myself shouting DOOR every time he wandered into the kitchen and bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and we were definitely not in short supply of any amenities! The kitchen is small, you can only fit one person in (without wrestling one another to get back out) otherwise it was completely cosy! If you're looking for a comfortable, snug and picturesque cottage please give Pond Cottage a go. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to taking back my Mum and her husband (as originally planned but Covid-19 prevented this from happening). Once again, thank you for a lovely stay Keith and Jean.”
We have a lovely and very private studio in a quiet rural location just a few minutes walk from the busy village of Overton. The Studio is warm, cosy with its own en-suite bathroom, tea/coffee facilities and has its own private access and parking. The location is ideal for Bombay Sapphire Distillery, walks on Watership Down, visits to the Whitchurch Silk Mill and of course Steventon, the birth place of Jane Austen. Overton has numerous pub, restaurants, coffee shops for meals
“We had a lovely stay in the studio! It was warm and cosy, spotless and had a very good nights sleep! Hassle free check-in and had the privilege to meet the welcoming and accommodating hosts! During our stay we visited the Bombay Sapphire Distillery just a short distance away which is definitely worth a visit. As well as having dinner at the Indian within the village which we would also highly recommend. I am hoping to return one day, so I would highly recommend Ian and Charlie’s studio!”
