Clean, comfortable, casual two level cottage with fantastic views of The Bay of Fundy with the worlds highest tides. Minutes drive to Five Islands Provincial park and Dianne’s famous fried clams! Grocery, produce and bakery market 10 minutes drive. Scenic drive to Cape D’OR with towering cliffs and crashing surf. Or go the other way to Northumberland beaches and wine country. Hosts live close by but far enough away to afford your privacy. There are no neighbors in view. Very private setting.
“This was an amazing vacation and we were astonished by the place and hospitality. Diane and Ken are amazing hosts: kind, easy-going, warm and accommodating, who respect privacy and have that diplomacy to be there for you when you need and ability to make you to feel at home. The place itself is a gem! That cottage is much bigger and modern than on photos, the view is breathtaking, the basin, the air, the tide ... everything to miss already. We had good time, we enjoyed going to the basin and watching tide and walking on the ocean floor when tide cleared it. The cottage is not too far from Halifax and also close to the Bridge of Confederation (P.E.I) - we had both day-trips and enjoyed these adventures. There're many hiking spots along the shorelines near by and in the forests along rivers and waterfalls. We also had a luxury to watch a rain and to listen to the wind. Thank you so much!”
Large, bright two bedroom basement flat with private entrance on 3 acres. Full bungalow basement approx 1200 sq ft finished three years ago. Two minute walk to a public access beach at the World's Highest Tides. Large perennial garden of 47 years. Wi-Fi, Smart TV with Netflix/YouTube. Comfortable beds, nice pressure shower. EXCELLENT drinking water from 100m deep well. You can detect our place in the cover photo, green roof under the largest grove of maples near centre of photo.
“Alice and Ed's basement apartment at Economy, Nova Scotia, is very spacious and comfortable. It is located just off the scenic Glooscap Trail and not far from the seafront in a lovely old garden. Everything worked and we found everything we needed. We especially enjoyed Netflix, which we don't have at home. We had good meals at the Briny Cafe at Five Islands, about 9 kms along the Glooscap Trail and at a local Chinese takeway.”
A bright spacious home with a country feel. Large deck overlooking the Bay of Fundy. Close to areas for hunting, bass fishing, and snow mobiling trails. Only 25 mins from Parsboro, and 40 mins from Wentworth Ski. A great space to relax and unwind.
“If you're interested in staying in rural Nova Scotia with a magnificent view of the Minas Basin (part of The Bay of Fundy), look no further. Mark's house is perfectly situated, at the top of a long, sloping field that leads down to the water. We walked easily from the house to the beach in 10 minutes. The house itself is large, really a bit too big for the two of us, especially as I have knee issues and there are two floors. But the kitchen, dining room and living room on the upper floor are very comfortable and well-designed with all we needed for the five days we spent here. I do wish the instructions for the TV remotes was in a more easily reached place than on the floor under the TV, though. It is very quiet here, and we felt very safe. I felt a sense of peace sitting on the back deck gazing down at the tide coming in and going out. Mark made himself available while we were there, although we didn't call on him. I appreciate how invested he is in providing a comfortable, inviting space for travelers in Nova Scotia. We would certainly return in the future!”
