“Marwell Lodge is in a beautiful quiet location in the grounds of the host's property. The lodge is secluded with plenty of outside space ,which is very well maintained and safe. The interior is lovely, spacious, clean with everything you need and lots of extra touches. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. The host was very helpful and welcoming. We stayed with our dog, who was also welcomed and he could move freely in the large garden.”
Delightful stylish detached cottage with recently added Hot Tub /Hydro massage jets. Open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. Downstairs cloakroom. French doors open to a private patio area that overlooks part of the hosts garden. Perfect to sit in sun or shade and enjoy the beautiful surrounding .
“Helen's cottage is absolutely lovely. It's completely spotless, very spacious, light and homely for two people to relax in. She greeted us on arrival to let us know she was next door if needed and left out a welcome package of wine, croissants, tea etc which was really thoughtful. We had a great time in the hot tub too in the evenings, a lovely added extra! The lane is easy to drive past but Helen sent through very precise instructions to help us find it with pictures which was great. The location is really good as you can walk into Newton Ferrers (Dolphin Inn pub 5 mins away) and Noss Mayo (Ship Inn pub about 30 min walk, on the estuary) and a co-op nearby too. It's also a good location for getting to other places in South Devon/ Plymouth such as Dartmoor National Park (recommend Bellever Forest and Llydford Gorge) and beaches like Mothecombe beach and Hope Cove. Thank you for a wonderful stay Helen!!”
A lovely old coach house (with a reserved parking spot) providing a great base for 2 people to explore this fantastic part of South Devon. Situated in the coastal village of Kingston and just a mile from the sea, coast and beaches. Kingston is a small rural village and has a lovely pub - The Dolphin Inn, just a few minutes walk from the Coach House. Wonwell beach is just over a mile away, as is Westcombe beach, while Bigbury-on-Sea and Bantham beaches are only a few minutes drive.
“Katherine’s place was perfect for our weekend stay, where we could finish off our coverage of the Devon coastline. Accommodation was clean and tidy with all the amenities needed for a stay away. The local pub, The Dolphin was a great treat and saved us cooking for the first evening. Definitely recommend for a break away, close to the coast, perfectly practical and a joy to stay.”
