We live near by and would love to tell you about a variety of places to visit such as the little cafe down town that serves the best fresh fried shrimp poboy served with fresh potato fries and on Saturday provides Cajun music played by local musicians. Cabins are prewar 1940's motor court with covered parking. Each cabin features, queen bed, TV, WiFi, small bathroom with small shower, original lavatory & fixtures in bathroom. Small kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Air conditioners and electric space heaters. Restaurant (Magnolia Cafe) hours are Tuesday through Sunday 10-3 and Coffee Shop ( Birdman ) on site. Come enjoy history with modern amenities and explore the beautiful plantations homes in our area.

The River Retreat Butte La Rose

The cozy cottage is nestled along the bank of the Atchafalaya River, a few miles south of interstate 10 and half way between Baton Rouge and Lafayette, La. Drive through your own little private swamp as you enter the property before it opens up to the cottage. The front porch is only steps away from the river. Large windows line the front of the home so you will have a wonderful view wherever you’re at. It is a perfect place to relax while surrounded by nature.

Lake Martin Bayou Country Lake Cottage

Our cabin is called La Libellule. It is a wonderful little cabin on Lake Martin in Breaux Bridge, La. Amenities include a king size bed, screened in porch, shaded deck, fire pit, washer, dryer, 2 tvs, internet and a full kitchen. There are generally fresh herbs in the garden depending on what time of year you come. The dragon flys are glorious here and if you are lucky you can see a pinkish red one. There is a lovely walking trail nearby.
