This recently restored boathouse will give you a real switch off from the modern world feel, no tv or wifi to complicate things, just birdsong and views across the lake. Sleep up in the bedroom or on the extremely comfortable sofabed if climbing the stairs is not for you. Relax on the terrace, take a siesta in the hammock. Within 1hr of the Dordogne, numerous chateaux at 20 mins as well as some lovely local villages. Come and unwind.

My little lake house

My little lake house has a capacity for 8 people. It offers a bedroom on the ground floor, a large bedroom upstairs, and a dormitory with children's play area. The kitchen is fully equipped and will allow you to prepare good little simmered dishes, the barbecue option in the garden is also allowed. The wooded garden is nice. The lake is 500 m from the house accessible by a small path. Choice of the walk or the beach according to your desire.

The house is an old 2-story elevated sheepfold with exceptional views of the Gartempe Valley with its terraced gardens, the so-called "Roman" bridge, the historic district of Moustier and the Saint Thyrse Church. At the end of a small inhabited hamlet, surrounded by woods, next to a pond, gives this magical place an impression of being out of time, a true haven of peace, charm, authenticity and silence. You can also fish on the pond.
