“We had a wonderful 2 days stay here, enjoying the stylish cabin and the sun deck, watching loads of wallabies at sunset and going on great local walks. Hayden was really helpful with tips and directions. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings.”
Glen Stuart Cottage is situated on a working sheep farm. The cottage is self contained and ideal for a couple looking for some peace and quiet. Wake to the sounds of the birds, sit on the deck to watch the beautiful sunsets and as the evening approaches, you might see some of our native animals including wallabies, possums and echidnas. We are only a short 15 minute drive to Launceston Airport, close to the village of Evandale, and a 30 minute drive to Launceston city.
“Carol's place is ultra cozy and very well equipped. If you are looking for a secluded place with no light pollution with a couple of animals and birds thrown in, then this is it. Clean and tastefully done. Had a good chat with Carol and Allan. Carol also took us around her huge property and showed us her sheep and the shearing process. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would have loved to spend some more time here.”
This is a tiny room on a steep busy street with no parking. You may have to park 300m away. There is a gravel driveway with difficult access and a big step. There is a young loud family of 4 upstairs with 2 dogs, we are not ninjas. There is another Airbnb next door adjacent to the room. The heat pump is next to the bed and may be noisy. Please note we are in the middle of renovating.
“Funky and comfortable little space. Really great spot in Launceston, out of the hustle but close enough drive to the main cbd areas. We had a minor issue with a faulty power board during our stay but our hosts were super attentive to resolving the problem for us as swiftly as possible. :)”
