The two swimming beaches are a 5 minute drive either side of the house and it is also a 5 minute drive to Malkopsvlei for canoeing and swimming. Harold Porter Botanical Gardens is a 10 minute drive away.

Betty's Bay is well known for its unspoiled nature, mountain, fynbos, beaches, lakes and gorgeous African (jackass) penguins. The penguins are within walking distance. The famous Harold Porter Botanical gardens is 5 minutes drive away. Betty's Bay has endless hiking, surfing, angling and snorkeling opportunities. A local grocery store is about 700 metres from the house.
