Delightful two bedroom stone cottage in the heart of the Peak District with superb open views and safe enclosed gardens. Ideal for a romantic getaway or for families looking for a relaxing retreat for walking and cycling. Very comfortable, dogs welcome, refurbished 2015. Quiet peaceful location with a "get away from it all" feel. Great village pub within just a short walk down the road. Footpaths direct from the front door; leave the car where it is and relax! Lots of repeat guests---book early!
“I just wanted a peaceful place to crash for a few days out of the rat race. The cottage was perfectly clean, there was a log burner I made good use of and a decent selection of DVDs- wasn't planning on telly but enjoyed a couple of movies. Kitchen was well catered for, and my bed was comfy. The heating hummed a bit -only audible in the kitchen. Nice touches - knitting basket, lovely old pics. Plenty local info. The back space was inescapable for my tiny dog (rare!). Walks from the door. The farm shop next to the fuel station was disappointingly tiny. But I bought the best burger there I had in years- tiny place, superb produce- go there to buy excellent local food , not browse. Highly recommend! The pub is friendly and has a fire. Food was very good- and John provided a generous discount voucher. Had an issue and John did respond immediately. Can't fault this place at all- will deffo be back with the Rudi Dog. Thank you so much!”

“Brilliant cottage in a fabulous location a short drive to local areas and tourists bits. Jane cottage is beautiful with lovely extra touches and brilliant communication. Was lovely having a secure garden as a lot of properties we looked at in the peaks couldn’t offer this so I was so nice having this peace of mind. Night recommend a stay at this beautiful cottage x”
Charming, cosy stone cottage on the outskirts of Wetton, adjacent to a pre 1700 farmhouse. Lovely views of surrounding countryside. Great base for exploring this beautiful part of the White Peak, very popular with walkers and cyclists. Ideal for couples or single guests. Has a galleried double bedroom with shower and toilet. Downstairs there is an open plan sitting/diner with kitchen area. Featuring beamed ceilings. Small south facing sitting out area and off road parking.
“John is an exceptional host, we had very warm welcome and John gave us great local tips which we used. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed including nice electric stove that kept us warm and cosy. The nature and all walks were on our door step - the beautiful Dove Valley and caves . We used the car only once to go to a near village pub, the Black Lion in Butterton , that had amazing food and has very friendly local atmosphere. The Royal Oak in Wetton was lovely and very friendly. Had breakfast in the Tea Room in the village - excellent! In all it was great stay!”
