Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Bird Rock, San Diego

This space is perfect for one or two people. close to a large mall and lots of restaurants. I'd recommend it to anyone needing a quiet getaway that's still close to modern amenities.

This was a small getaway for my family and I. It was around everything we planned on doing for the 2 days of our stay. The host is great, responsible, and informative. I will be booking here again in the future.

We had a great stay at Pete and Tess’s house!! The house was perfect for our family (2 adults and 3 kids aged 8, 6, and 18 months). The pool and backyard are fantastic and the living room area inside is spacious. The added bonus was all the toddler-proofing safety features! Easy to get to all the San Diego sites. Would highly recommend this rental!

Miho's home was perfect for us 7 girls. There were more than enough room for us. We took advantage of all the unique features of the home such as the tub that overlooked the beautiful pine tree backyard that made us feel like we were in Idlewild but also being so close to the downtown area of Hillcrest that had coffee shops within walking distance and a local favorite Ramen place. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed. On top of that, Miho was an amazing host and responded to all my questions within minutes. Thank you!

The PERFECT loc to visit SDSU child. CHECK-IN/INSTRUCTIONS: easy to understand & got in wo any issues. NEIGHBORHOOD/LOC: easy to find, accessible, on a main, residential street. Couldn’t hear any outside noise. Walked around neighborhood at nite & otherwise, very safe. Within 10 mins of son’s dorm, lots of nearby eateries. KITCHEN: had basic ingredients & some random pantry items, similar to what we find at most Air BnBs. Though we mainly used the kitchen for simple breakfasts, it was well stocked to prep a full meal. Keurig with pods is always a welcome amenity! ROOMS & BATHROOMS: clean, spacious, & well-stocked with all linens. Beds were perfectly firm; no complaints abt kinked necks, sore backs, or rolling into any mid-mattress valleys. LIVING ROOM: clean, big screen, large enough for our fam of 5. BACKYARD: quiet, grass with patio area, jacuzzi which we wanted to try but didn’t get the chance. Hosts also provided snacks/goodies & bottled waters-a nice added touch!

Overall our stay was wonderful! The place was able to accommodate my group comfortably. Sahar is a great communicator and friendly! I would book with them again.

Fantastic place to stay with a large group, and a great location! Cheap lyfts to the gas lamp and airport. Right by Balboa Park and walkable to several wonderful restaurants. The apartments were very clean and had all amenities we'd need. The hosts were very organized. Highly recommended!

Great spot if you have a car to traffic to/from the beaches. Was comfortable for me, my husband, baby, and our au pair, and probably would be a good fit for two couples or a family of 4 (one room was bunks). Amenities were ample, beds were large and comfy, clean. Some good food spots within walking distances, namely The Fish Shop and Kono’s sister restaurant (yummy burritos). Vons, Trader Joe’s, CVS all within walking distance for those looking to cook from home. Thanks for hosting us!

Rami was a fantastic host. He went above and beyond for us and made us feel extremely welcomed. His place is in an excellent location, with most places in San Diego no more than a 20 minute drive away as well. We would highly recommend staying at his place!

I was so relaxed in this house that I definitely felt like home. the hospitality of the host were one of a kind. I had my 8-year-old son, he was able to play with the kids. the location was fabulous. I can't say enough good things about this trip. I can't wait to go back!

This home was perfect for our intergenerational family gathering. There was space (and enough bathrooms) to accommodate all of us without being in each other's way but also being able to gather in our larger family group when needed. The location with views of the mountains was relaxing and reenergizing for the holiday with family members coming from all over. Although there were various spaces throughout the house, the kitchen area was a definite gathering space and accommodated well for people to be together and doing different things: cooking and preparing a meal, sitting and chatting, working on a laptop, reading in the family room not too far away. I appreciated the communication prior, throughout, and after our stay.

We stayed in a lovely home in San Diego and the experience was absolutely wonderful! The house is clean, cozy, well equipped, and tastefully decorated. The location is excellent – close to everything you need, in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. The hosts were available, accommodating, and made sure we didn't miss anything throughout our stay. Highly recommend for those looking for a pleasant, comfortable and pampering guest experience! We would definitely love to come back next visit.

You enter the house, a little uncertain. From the outside, a little underwhelming. You pass through the cosy living room, still a little underwhelming. And THEN, WOW. The pool area, the tennis court, the Vista to the west, the mountains...spectacular, breathtaking, everything as advertised and more. Back in the house, you find a very well stocked kitchen, extremely comfortable bedrooms, a unique "guesthouse" for the Seniors (in our case), and above all...everything in working order. Absolutely no issues! Bravo to our great landlord, who was a super communicator. Overall: our family of 12, across 3 generations, found wonderful places to be together as well as to disperse. A great time was had by all in this Vista Villa wonder!

Such an incredible place. It has everything you need and more. Me and my group had such and amazing time here. Food and pool at the club house are a 10 out of 10. Host were super friendly and fast at responding any questions i had. Definitely will be back. 100% worth every penny.

This stay was beyond my expectations. The comfort of the home, the surrounding area, the beautiful views and peacefulness. It was all amazing, didn’t want it to end.

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful healing home! The location is so peaceful and the views are spectacular. Sitting outside is just so serene, and the smell outside was just divine! We did not feel like we had to leave to do any other activities; the sauna, hot tub, pool, and fire pit were amazing. So many places indoors and outdoors to hang out and enjoy. The hosts were super responsive and friendly. All was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The home is so well stocked with everything you may need; kitchen supplies, toiletries, ample towels, board games, yoga equipment etc. They even provided shower steamer tablets to make us feel like we were in a spa! I would definitely come back here. Thank you for an awesome trip!

Sheila’s beautiful villa was absolutely what we needed after a long exhausting day with two toddlers at Legoland. We had stayed at a residence before here so we knew the layout and amenities more or less. It’s exactly what we expected and more. The beautiful pools (with a baby friendly pool), the kids club, the beautiful views, the delicious on-site restaurants, complimentary fruit-infused water, the adorable stuffed animal seals for the kids, and more. We loved that the kids could stay in the living room. Sheila had provided two cribs that were already set up prior to our arrival. The check-in was super smooth! We communicated for days before our arrival and we felt really happy with everything!!! We loved the amenities and after Legoland, we needed a bit of luxury and rest for ourselves. Thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely villa.

This place was amazing! We only wish we had more time to enjoy it. We just got married and needed a place to a night for a quick little getaway and it was everything as posted, but so much more!! We have done many Airbnb’s over the years and this is in the top 2! Private, quiet, peaceful, super clean and perfect for a romantic getaway! We will definitely be back to explore all the options that are available! Like drinking glass of wine by the outdoor fireplace! If you book this place will definitely not be disappointed at all!
