The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

The rural accommodation IT ÚT FAN HÚSKE is located on an idyllic winding dike, near Sneek/Leeuwarden and a short distance from Lake Sneek and De Potten. Within a 15-minute bike ride (bikes available for rent), you can be at Potten Beach or in the bustle of the city, while on your return, you'll once again enjoy the tranquillity of the Frisian countryside. The perfect combination of vibrancy and relaxation. The detached húske is stylishly and tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort.

Grand Canal House in Harlingen

The house offers three bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom. It’s understated elegant interiors have been published in the UK House and Garden and the Residence interior magazines. Guests get to use the grand blue room with velvet clad walls and the souterrain kitchen with wood burning stove. There is a peaceful city garden with BBQ and outdoor seating. In the winter one can enjoy cosy evenings besides the various fireplaces, long dinners in the kitchen or baths in one of the bathrooms.

Our new guest house is in the "shadow" of the former Zuivelschool, on the edge of the city canal of the historic Hanze city of Bolsward, one of the eleven cities of Friesland. A 10-minute walk from the historic city center, with one of the most beautiful townhouses in the Netherlands! A calm and quiet base from which to explore the many beautiful cities, villages and lakes of Friesland. 8 km from the Afsluitdijk, 10 km from the beach and 200 meters from a bus stop and 2 supermarkets.

Apartment 't Achterdijkje

't Achterdijkje is a centrally located apartment in the authentic fishing village of 'Makkum'. The view of the sea dike and the masts of the ships in the harbor makes it the perfect location for rest and relaxation. From the front door, you can walk up the dike and have a view of the IJsselmeer and the port of Makkum. Fancy more life in the brewery? At about 200 meters is the center of Makkum and at about 2.5 km the beach with restaurants, shops and a top location for windsurfing!

Sleeping with the sheep & a whole herd of horses.

Waking up with a view of the dining room, a herd of horses living in freedom, two pigs making their beds in front of the window every evening, and sometimes a sheep walking by... Closer to the pure things in life. That's why there's no Wi-Fi and no TV. There is, however, a large table for playing games together and a lovely couch for enjoying a glass of wine together. Make beautiful memories together! And even better, the first lambs will be born at the beginning of October!

The Value of Hidaard

At De Terp van Hidaard, you will stay in the stylish front house of our old farm, with its own entrance and amenities. Our house has a spacious kitchen-diner and 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms. If you book for 2 people, you will get the ground floor, i.e. the kitchen and 1 bedroom. If you want to use 2 bedrooms, you must book for at least 3 people. Wake up to the sound of birds singing, panoramic views and the cozy warmth of the wood-burning stove.

Guesthouse Út fan Hús

The Út fan hús apartment has two bedrooms with a double bed, a living room with sofa bed, a kitchen with fridge and bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment has its own entrance. From the apartment, you have a wide view over the Frisian Greiden. It is located on the water, where you can swim and fish. You can also use 1 or 2 person canoes, a boat and bicycles for free. The city of Sneek is a 15-minute drive, Leeuwarden is a 30-minute drive.

Vacation home "Witte Baak"

In 2022, we built our vacation home in this unique location and it has all the comforts! Whether you are cooking together in the luxury kitchen or hanging out on the sofa in front of the wood-burning stove, you will notice the intimate atmosphere and the beautiful light everywhere. The house is located directly on open water and has a large veranda. With the village and beach within cycling distance, this is a wonderful place to recharge.
