A 4WD high clearance vehicle in winter, and skill in mountain driving is necessary. This is an older remote home, not a 5 star hotel, and only a good fit for adventurous travelers. We are close to Golden Gate Canyon state park, where you can snowshoe, hike, mountain bike & more. 35 min to Boulder, 30 to Golden, 30 to Casinos in Black Hawk, 60 to DIA 3 restaurants, a liquor store, coffee shop and convenience store close by.
