Starlight Shepherd Hut- a luxurious rural retreat

The cosy and very romantic Starlight Hut is situated in stunning Cotswold countryside close to Bampton, used as the film set for all the Downton Abbey village scenes. Guests call it a little idyll in the glorious English countryside and as the name suggests it's fab for star gazing! A shepherd hut experience might usually be described as ‘glamping’ but for us, the focus is more on complete luxury - the hut provides all things you could wish for and several that you might not even have imagined.

The Studio

Easy access to the Vale of the White Horse and open Oxfordshire countryside including the nearby Thames footpath. The Cotswolds are also readily accessible including the “Downton Abbey” town of Bampton, Jeremy Clarkson’s pub (The Farmers Dog) and Diddly Squat farm. Local amenities include a popular village pub and road & bus links to the nearby town of Faringdon as well as Swindon & Oxford

The market square is just 5 minutes walk away, with a range of pubs, cafes and eateries, free overnight parking from 6pm in the Gloucester Street car park. Ideal for sightseeing & visiting the Cotswolds & Oxfordshire & country walks.

A king-sized brass bed and beautiful linens add a romantic feel to the bedroom and throughout the property a traditional style has been retained offering comfort and quality. Surrounded by the pretty South Oxfordshire countryside on the edge of the villages of Ardington and Lockinge. Fully equipped spacious open plan sitting/dining room with kitchen (includes microwave and washer/dryer), double bedroom, bathroom (with shower attachment).

Our annex is in the heart of Oxfordshire a perfect space to unwind and relax. in a beautiful area of the village surrounded by fields and brooks. close to all amenities and Williams, Grove Technology park, Milton park, Harwell, Didcot, and Oxford, Frilford golf club and Drayton park golf club. with a 7 minute walk to the bus stop offering direct route to Wantage, Didcot and Oxford. If it's retail therapy Oxford (27 mins) has lot's to offer including the fabulous Bicester Village (33 mins)

The Old Stable provides comfortable self contained accommodation in the picturesque village of Stanford in the Vale, located in the beautiful Vale of White Horse close to the Ridgeway. We are 12 miles west of Oxford and within easy reach of the Cotswolds and River Thames. Village amenities include a pub, cafe and supermarket. The accommodation, located on two floors with private entrance, has an open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining and TV sitting area. There is an en-suite bath/shower.
