The villa sits in an elevated postion in one of the last remaining untouched parts of the island.
“we knew this villa would be amazing but we were in total awe with everything. the view is absolutely amazing as you can see from the pictures. on a side note there are 2 or 3 villas so the pool might be slightly different than what it shows in the picture. The villa we stayed in the pool was horizontally to the villa. Still just as beautiful though. I also had read that they can arrange meals for you but I didn't realize it would be having your own chef in your villa and having the dishes the done for you as well. We originally planned to go out and do some extra activities but decided to cancel so we could spend some more time at this beautiful villa. We also had a masseuse come to our villa were we got a Balinese massage on the patio. (you can chose where). If you have any questions at all while staying there they give you a phone with their contact info in it and they answer right away. As they tell you in notes about the villa it is somewhat difficult to find but that is just because Bali doesn't have addresses like we do in the US. The roads are paved and had no issue riding on it with our scooters. Again its just learning to navigate around Bali. The roads are very narrow and cars do come down them every once in a while. Thank you so much for such a great experience! OH almost forgot to mention our friends that were with us got engaged on our last morning here. yeah, its that special! Amanda, Chris, Brian, Becca”

“This place goes into the top 3 stays we’ve ever stayed in. Not only is the villa furnished with taste for the most what made this trip extraordinary was the staff. First of all thank you to Jacqueline for always being quickly responsive to us and accommodating to any changes and questions. The villa is also located right beside the beach, this is so special to us as we love swimming in seas and no need to travel more km to reach it. The food was always prepared by Komang and Kadek excellently, and they taught us some recipes of their own. Ketut was an utmost forthcoming driver going out of his way and beyond not only driving us to and from attractions, activities and markets and explaining the Balinese culture and tradition to us. A great thank you to the gardener and the security guard, always took great care of the cleanliness and safety of the house, even once taking us to dolphin watch in the Lovina beaches. All in all we are going to miss this place and their people and will be definitely coming back! A 1000% recommended place to future travelers and visitors from us.”

“Just as advertised, this location is truly stunning! Beautifully constructed with surrounding glass allowing for amazing panoramic views. It is remote, so keep that in mind as you will need transport to go anywhere. Unfortunately there is some construction being done putting up new stays on either side of The Clove House, so it won't be very secluded for long. But I suppose it is only fair to share the incredible location :) The hosts were very upfront about the construction that would be going on while we were there, and offered us a refund or a discount on our stay. We are very glad we chose to stay! The construction started about 8 or 9am I think and finished late afternoon long before bed. We were usually off exploring during the day anyway so it really never bothered us. There is wifi and outlet adapters in the room, along with a hair dryer and yoga mats! The bed was comfortable. Outdoor bathtub is amazing! I enjoyed a lovely soak overlooking the forrest :) Water gets very hot so just be careful that you keep an eye on the temperature before you fill the whole thing with scalding lava (goes for the shower as well). Kitchen was missing some basics like utensils (though there were chopsticks). No alcohol is available on site and you are pretty far out there, so if you want any wine or anything bring it with you! As for the food on site, breakfast is delivered to your room every morning, which is included. You place order ahead of time- we always placed our order at dinner for breakfast the next morning. You can order dinner to be delivered to your room too for a 20% upcharge, but you only have an hour window to order (I think from 6-7pm) so keep that in mind! Otherwise if you choose to walk up for dinner they are open until later. We enjoyed some things on the menu more than others. Our favorites were the fresh juices, sweet and sour tempeh, gado-gado, vegetable soup, coconut cake, and dessert fruit bowl! However, there are also several lovely waterfall cafes located nearby with great food options as well. We particularly enjoyed the hospitality and food from the Side Eco Cafe, which is about 15 minutes from the Clove House if you go to the right at the first fork, and has a lovely waterfall view. If you go left at the fork, you can find your way to four different waterfalls. We took a day trip and saw them all, which took most of the day. There is a small entrance fee at each, so bring money with you on your hike. We stopped at several warungs/ cafes that are situated along the way, which were each worth trying for their own reasons :) Delicious local food at all of them! We made it back to The Clove House just in time for dinner. Definitely worth spending a day to explore the area if you enjoy the outdoors!”
