“This is my first trip to Padang and I have stayed two days in Arrayan Pavilion Padang. Nadzib is kind and warmth host. He has giving me more then enough to feel welcome, taken care and comfort. With his kindness, fast respond and full of information for the city, he has become my new friend and new relative. AirBNB has become an apps to meet new and good person that has good and nice place to stay. It is really nice to know that you have been taken care with good person like Nadzib. The place is amazing. Clean, modern and nice. You have privacy of your own, as long you respect with the local custom. The locals are well aware with sharia regulation, so if you stay here with your legal partner, as sharia point of view. Good for family vacation and stay. Safe for children too. Keep up the good work, Brother Nadzib. I will definitely staying there if I visit Padang.”
My place is close to great views and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the views and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
“At first i was a bit hesitant since the listing has no review. Yet, the photos look tempting and am in an adventurous mood as well. I contacted the host, Uda Raul, a day before my arrival. It was not easy since the mobile reception in the island was quite poor, however he managed to give direction upon my arrival. I arrived at their homebase, a homestay called Losmen Tintin, situated at Bungus beach, just 40 minutes drive from Padang city. Raul's brother greeted me and asked me to wait for the boat to cross to the island. Unfortunately, as it was raining hard, it was too dangerous to cross the bungus bay. Hence, after waiting for almost two hours, they decided to took a boat from the next village called Sungai Pisang. The sea is calmer there since we pass by between island to Muaro Duo. The boat trip cost 400k rupiah. It took only 15 minutes compare to if we took the boat directly from Bungus. If you enjoy some splash, you will enjoy the ride just fine. The island...how shall i describe it..well if you happened to watch cast away, it was just like that...i was lucky to have the place for my own since there are no other guest that day...Raul and the crew were awesome...they fetch me something to eat. The cookings were simple yet tasteful...i love how they easily serve the fresh pickef papaya from their garden together with pancakes. I stayed at the wooden cabin which was clean enough and had a nice shower. They have other rooms without bathroom (shared outdoor bathroom). I spent my afternoon at the white sandy beach which is just one step away from the main terrace. At night, raul and hia crew entertained me with their guitar. Then i went out to the beach again for star gazing. Time stops here..power only up at night, no mobile network..i can relaxed as much as i want, napping at their hammock, reading. Much of the coral reef had been damaged for you who like to snorkeling. Couldnt catch much sunset and sunrise too since the sights was blocked by a hill. Still, the place is a true gem for hideaway...”
The stone and timber bungalow is ideal for couples or families of up to 6. The dining room has a kitchenette so you can choose to cook or order in from the main kitchen. The large living / lounge room has two single beds & a couch. Rooms have views through the treetops over the ocean. Natural ventilation & fans combine to maximize the cool mountain breeze without the noise and carbon footprint of air conditioning. The sounds of the rainforest surround you and monkeys often play in nearby trees.
“Ricks place is a main building with the kitchen and two rooms. The villa ist several stairs down passing the beautiful pool. Villa has one main bedroom with a queen and two single beds in the living room. There is one extra bed in a glass cabin besinde the living room. There is a lot of privacy in the villa and from the front room oft the villa you have a great view on the ocean looking through many palms and green. Also the beautiful pool has a great view and you feel a bit like you are in the jungle, even when you hear the sounds at night. The villa is fully screened against the mosquitos, has a fridge and two fans (no AC). Sometimes it can be quite warm. If you want to go to town or elsewhere you need a ride but they can organise a releyable driver. Breakfast was included and you can also have dinner if you order in the morning or a day before. Ibu prepares the meals and she is very friendly and her cooking was really good. We loved the location and would highly recommend to stay there. It was really relaxing.”
