Villa vacation rentals in Cabo Verde

Fantastic house, super spacious, and has all you need for families / groups (many bedrooms + bathrooms). Fantastic location (5ish mins walk to one beach, 10-15 to another). The manager is very helpful. The security guard is discreet and his dogs were wonderful. There are some missing amenities like a kettle, flyswatter etc., but overall a wonderful and comfy place to stay when in Boa Vista.

Just back from a lovely stay at Villa Verde staying with Flora. The villa was spotless and exactly as described and very private. The pool is a bonus for cooling off and the garden is perfect. The apartment is spacious, room around the bed is limited but sufficient. The owners live above but we only saw them when we needed something. The complex itself is fairly quiet, it has a small supermarket, a buffet restaurant (we didn’t use) we ate the the hotel just outside the complex a couple of times then used the supplied free bus passes to travel into Santa Maria where you will find lots of restaurants and tourist shops. Beware of being hassled by the local sellers/tour guides a firm no thank you usually worked, some pretend they know you from the hotel, it’s a scam. The weather (April) was between 23-26 degrees and there is a consistent wind of around 15-30mph. The island is known for kite surfing. Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely return to stay with Flora.

A wonderful house, perfectly clean, nicely decorated and very well equipped, in a dreamy landscape (the terrace overlooks the ocean: during our 7-day stay we saw dolphins and a whale directly from the terrace). The very kind and efficient Ivania and Daniel were always there to help with everything we needed (meals, birthday cake, island tour, tips, stories about Maio and its locals). Patricia is always attentive and has helped us immensely, for example with transportation to and from Praia: huge thank you, Patricia, for the perfect hospitality! We will go back because the experience in Maio was fabulous!

We loved our stay and recommend it for anyone. Eunice is very friendly and communicative. We hope to come back some time.

We had an unforgettable stay at Mr. Koen’s villa at Melia Tortuga Beach. He went above and beyond to make everything easy and smooth for us, including putting us in touch with Mr. Silvino, a fantastic local taxi driver who picked us up at the airport and was always just a message away. He and his nephew really made our trip with great tips and insights about the island. The villa itself is simply stunning. Right in front of the beach with a breathtaking sea view. It’s spacious, well equipped, and the private pool is a real highlight. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and ending the day with a dip in the pool was an absolute dream. This place is an incredible spot with excellent VfM, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. We’re leaving in just an hour, and we’re already talking about coming back. Thank you, Mr. Koen, for everything! P.S. Please consider tipping local workers. The minimum wage in Cabo Verde is only 13,000 CVE/month (~120€), and tips make a big difference.

Solid home with small flaws The place was fine overall, but there were a few surprises. According to the description, the air conditioning was included, but the house rules stated that it costs extra – 160 euros per week. The essentials for cooking (oil, pepper, salt) were missing, and some pans were severely scratched. A special feature of the accommodation are the external concrete stairs leading to the roof terrace. On a positive note is the friendly hostess, and a nice woman who explained everything to us in detail – that was really great!

Very large and clean accommodation in a beautiful, small village. Highly recommend.

Great house, with cozy decor and good amenities. Peaceful location, away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Maria. With the Aluguer (collective taxi) you can get there quickly for €1.20/person. We were almost always the only ones on the beach and also the pool with sea water was never much going on. We had a relaxing time here! Toilet paper could be a little more and the chairs on the terrace are a little uncomfortable and broken. Otherwise everything is great!

We stayed with Francesca for 4 nights and it was a dream - the complex is beautiful, tasteful and well maintained. Francesca is loving and energetic and was the perfect host. She organized us a tour, transfers and restaurant visits to her favorite restaurants, making our vacation something very special. The beach with various beach bars is a few minutes away on foot, and you can also reach the city in ~10 minutes. Francesca has created a beautiful oasis on this great island and I would recommend anyone to stay here. Grazie per tutto, Francesca!
