“Jesse’s place is in very friendly fishing village, across from local soccer field that is well used for the weekend we were there. Car rental through Jackson, set up with Jesse, was superb ... especially as he ended up driving us to the place. Keisha met us, and showed us around the very large apartment, with great balcony, and then dropped by the next day to ensure all was good. Stove needed gas, and that was done quickly. As appears to be typical in rural St. Lucia, village has chickens and dogs that can be noisy in the morning.”

“Being somewhat of an Airbnb veteren (stays in Australia; New Zealand; Thailand; Indonesia; Bermuda; all over the US and Canada) I may have to name my hostess, Claudia (Wayne's cousin who manages the Airbnb and lives in the main house) as my number one favourite. If you stay there you will see what I mean! The space is a lovely one bedroom, has quite good separation with a great view from the balcony. It is located in an approx. 90 minute drive from the airport; a 30 minute drive from Surfriere (Anse Chastanet); or a 60 minute drive from Castries. A car is essential as the bus is very small, infrequent and normally full. It is common to pick up passengers if you have a car and you will meet a and learn a lot about the island this way (and meet lots of Wayne, Val and Claudia's friends! as, being a small place everyone knows each other). A lovely place to stay with exceptionally wonderful people. (make sure you have Claudia cook a meal with fresh fish and local vegetables too! )”

“Staying a month in St Lucia, we gambled and chose this, and oh, how glad we did. Airy, spacious ,with truly all you will need to make a home to explore all this amazing Island offers,, anything else, we required, arrived 'magically' wether a cafetiere or an implement to open the numerous coconuts around. Very comfy bed too! Built into the side of a hill the apartment, with a super balcony, which indeed from the corner you can spy the sea, is surrounded by lush trees & plants creating shade and interest. All day and night we were serenaded by nature, the cuckoo's/humming birds/ever present cheeky grackles & at night tree frogs and crickets kept us company. Over festive period the village parties hard and loud which we nearly became accustomed to, however after that the last two weeks were blissfully peaceful. We hired a car, so needed, fromJackson who looked after us brilliantly, meeting us/being on hand etc throughout months stay (local small company just ask owner for details). Staying here we stepped outside our comfort zone at times, but it was so very worth it. Fantastic opportunity, will come again.”
