We loved staying with Helen at the Bealey eco lodge. The setting is breathtaking and Helen’s cosy lodge was the perfect place to explore the area from. Helen is a super friendly host with a remarkable knowledge of the region. We’d recommend this stay for anyone traveling through the area looking for an off-grid experience

We stayed at Shirley's place for a night for our little blue penguins trip at Timaru. The place is absolutely lovely, and our room is located on the ground floor where we have a living room and a large balcony of our own. We really appreciated Shirley's hospitality and her serving us a nice New Zealand breakfast in the dining room on the first floor (where the host stays). We couldn't feel more at home and peaceful at Shirley's place, 5 stars!

We absolutely loved our stay at Waikonini Homestead! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with tea and cake, setting the tone for a truly delightful experience. We stayed one night in ‘Owen’s Room’, and as no other guests were booked during our visit, the homestead felt wonderfully tranquil. The warm, cozy bed made for an incredibly comfortable night, and the meals were a perfect finish to the night. Dinner (prebooked) featured a fish pie, followed by a mince tart with homemade custard—comfort food at its very finest. Mary, our host, truly made the experience unforgettable. Her warm hospitality and engaging conversations about travel, dogs, and life made us feel completely at home. And her delightful Corgis, Peppi and Anne—oh, they were absolutely adorable! The homestead itself is a treasure—an elegant old home surrounded by stunning grounds that invite you to relax and explore. The perfect blend of timeless charm and modern comfort.

This was a lovely place to stay during our roadtrip down the west coast. Kirsty was so friendly..She helped us get our things inside during the pouring rain and had a good breakfast for us. The sunrise at Lake Matheson, right down the road, was stunning. Would stay here again!

The accommodation is very warm, clean and tidy, consistent with the description. The director is very warm and thoughtful. It is a very good accommodation experience.

Rob is very friendly and the castle is awesome, definitely worth visiting. The house is very old and looks live in movie. There is big garden too.

Louise is a great host and units are perfect for a short stay on the roadtrip or food a weekend away. BBQ outside is great for cooking on. Thanks!

We stayed at Shirley’s place for a week and we enjoyed our stay. Everything’s nice and tidy. We felt at home, although I was bit worried at first because my husband and my daughter don’t speak English. But it turned out just fine and actually they enjoyed their stay too!

Excellent location. Easy walk along a river into core area. Karen and Rob are exceptional hosts. They saved a parking space for me and made me feel right at home. Rob even walked with me a bit to get me headed in right direction. Clean and comfortable. Only had one night with them, but would go back in a heartbeat.

Rhonda and Wal were our hosts not Tim and Jacqui. Rhonda and Wal were outstanding hosts, they are friendly, proactive and helpful. Highly recommended Airbnb hosts!

Karens place was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was a very wet evening and a bit miserable outside but Karen had the heat on and an electric blanket on in my bed when I arrived. The bed was very comfortable and it was a quiet and peaceful area in addition to being only about a 15 minutes walk from the centre of Christchurch. I got a very good continental breakfast and in addition Karen did me some eggs for breakfast. I would stay again if I am in Christchurch.

We loved our stay here it was a truly beautiful place and Drew and Bron had thought of everything to make us feel at home. A unique experience having animals at the window in the morning! Would highly recommend.

Highly recommended. Excellent AirBnB. Dean and Carol had an excellent stand in host in John. John couldn't have been more welcoming and willing to explain the set up in the house. He also gave me great recommendations about local restaurants and local attractions. There was a storm in progress the evening I arrived and John had a lovely bright fire going in the stove. I very much appreciated this on the evening that it was. The house was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. I was also treated to a very good continental breakfast.

The place is ok. It is like a big house with many rooms divided into airbnb rooms. So, you have a kitchen and living room available and the rooms going into the corridors. It is close enough to town (although I wouldn't walk there when it is dark) and the neighbourhood is quiet - what seems to be a newly built home state

Ruth and Brian's hospitality was second to none, as was their lovely apartment. Roomy, light filled and generously provisioned, Villy and I took advantage of the twin rooms to take a break from each others snoring. Super comfortable beds made a 10 hour sleep, bliss. We felt as comfortable as possible at Ruth, Brian's and BG's lovely home. Thanks folks.

Chryssie’s place had an outstanding view of the city, even with clouds that we brought with us! It was a pleasure to meet Chryssie who was both friendly and welcoming. The light breakfast was perfect for our early departure.

We had the large room, and it had a super king-size bed. The bed is very comfortable and the lined great. The bathroom is small but clean and functional, with luxurious towels. There is a little table with 2 chairs where we ate our continental breakfast. We chose the details from a menu given to each of us. Our host, Julie, left our breakfast outside our door at the time we stated. There is a small fridge in the room with tea and coffee making facilities. It's a lovely old house with bedrooms upstairs. Julie has thoughtfully decorated the home with bits and bobs, wallpaper and furniture of the era. We ate at Miss Saigon, which is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant within walking distance!! And then watched TV lying on the bed .

Great experience. Really lovely hosts, very generous and friendly, and fun to chat to. They really go above and beyond to make your stay more pleasant; I really appreciated that. The included breakfast is fantastic, I ate like a king every morning! Comfy bed, fast WiFi, quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Tea, coffee and snacks are provided. The unit is a bit on the small side, probably more suited to one person rather than two.

We are so pleased to have recently stayed at Scarborough House. Ted and Sue are the most welcoming and hospitable hosts who insured that our stay was nothing but the best. Their guest suites are extremely comfortable with all of the comforts of home. The views from this property are stunning and we appreciated the special marine life of Kaikoura.

This is a unique and bona fide Boutique BnB! You’ll want to spend some time just exploring the antiquity and treasures in Dalkeith BnB, where you’ll find all kinds of treasures! The bed and linens are heavenly, along with the ensuite bathroom, the breakfasts were glorious and the care & attention Julie the host, extends is brilliant! Great location, everything walkable, Kaiapoi Museum is phenomenal, along with all amenities nearby. I loved staying here, the property’s gardens are glorious and 4 nights went by so fast! Very well priced and best BnB I have experienced. Kaiapoi is a little gem of a town not to be missed!

Charmaine is a lovely host who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. She showed me around, pointing out where the ferry departs, where the stores are, and how to get to the pool, and she even waited for me to arrive. She provided all the essentials — coffee, tea, bread, jam, butter, milk, cereal, and some veggies — which was very thoughtful. The house itself is more than great! The decoration is beautiful, with cozy sofas and spacious rooms that look like they belong in a catalog. I had the option to choose which room I wanted, which was a nice touch. From the porch, living room, and my room, I had a stunning view of the ocean and the port. It was lovely sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The location is perfect — only one block away from shops, restaurants, and an organic food store and very close to the walking path to the Gondola, which is just a 40-minute walk from the house. I highly recommend Charmaine’s place! ❤️
