A colorful house

Our beautiful unique 1912 casita has been totally renovated, yet hasn’t lost its vintage charm . We are two artists (Blanca & Paula) that filled our newly restored casita with repurposed furniture, recycled art “mainly made by us” but also has modern amenities. Our colorful casita is definitely eye catching from the ski picket fence to our bowling ball garden. Our casita is more than a night stay it’s a unique artful experience. Charming Train Depot built in 1890

Enjoy a piece of railroad history! This train depot, built in 1890 was once located in Maxwell, New Mexico. This piece of history is beautifully refinished and is located in the country club addition of Raton. The nostalgic kitchen has the original writing on the walls, as the passengers went through and signed their names. The signatures are now kept behind plexiglass to preserve the handwriting.

Catch the trolly for a free guided tour of our town or travel 40 minutes west to some of the most beautiful mountains in Colorado. The apartment features a comfortable queen-size memory foam bed in the bedroom and a small futon in the living area that works well for children. While La Casita is ideal for one or two adults, guests needing more space may want to consider our nearby Carriage House or Gallery House, both located next door.
