The Old Byre, part of the original Grade 2 listed Rhydlafar Farm is situated 5 miles from Cardiff in open countryside with easy access to the city centre. The Cottage, sitting between The Old Byre and the old farmhouse is a self-contained two storey building comprising the private entrance, kitchen/lounge on the ground floor with the bedroom/ en suite facilities on the 1st floor. (see cover photo) Guest also have private access to a Summer House with a luxury Hot Tub in the garden.
What guests are saying:“Just spent a lovely weekend at Chris' place. Property is quirky, and the décor is something akin to staying at my grandmothers, however I'm being pedantic. Chris and his wife was the perfect host and we had a lovely time. The décor is offset by the hot tub in the summer house which was great, Chris even got the fire going for us so that when we went to use the hot tub the summer house was nice and toasty. The location is ideal for getting in to Cardiff city centre and close to St Fagan's museum and overall was a lovely relaxing stay. Highly recommended!”

Easy access to Cardiff Central train station. 10 minute walk to Cardiff Bay where you can find lots of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. 15 minute walk to St Marys Street which is popular for having shopping, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. WIFI and TV available in the flat. Towels provided.

As an added bonus it has two bathrooms, a small balcony and private parking. Communications with Jana , the host , were always promptly answered and every effort made to grant our requests. Would recommend it to any visitors interested in visiting Cardiff.”
A spacious house on the river, right next to the city centre, five minutes' walk from the central station and with a view of the Principality Stadium. The house has one spacious double bedroom overlooking the river, a small single room with a futon, a spacious sitting room and dining room, both with double sofabeds. You have use of the kitchen and the garden. Parking for one car is available on the street. Cycle hire is available opposite for £1/half hour.
What guests are saying:“I found Beccy's home to be a spacious, stylish, well-equipped and welcoming place to stay for my 3 nights exploring Cardiff. A great location opposite the River Taff, a few minutes walk from the Central Train Station, and a parking permit was also included. The bedroom was big and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given the proximity of the railway. Beccy provided tea, coffee etc, welcoming Welsh Cakes and Bara Brith and all that I needed to make a continental style breakfast in the recently refurbished kitchen. Access to 2 reception rooms was a bonus, too. Beccy welcomed me in person and was flexible in accommodating our changing plans due to Covid 19: the 'super host' designation is well-deserved and we certainly hope to return. Thankyou!”
