Vacation rentals with lake access in Carmarthenshire

Where to begin... a group of 7 adults, plus 5 year old plus baby have just spent a WONDERFUL Easter weekend at Sarah's beautiful place. From arriving to gin cocktails, a freshly made CAKE, Sarah went over and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome! The place itself is even better then in the pics... beautiful rooms, loads of rooms for socalising, eating together, perfect board game tables, but also a new TV which meant the parents of the trip could relax in the evenings! Beds super comfortable, great shower, everything spotless, we were spoilt. We took advantage of Sarah's offer for a meal - and how GLAD we were that we did that - we were treated to a Greek feast, the food was unbelievably good, worth every penny and so so glad we didn't just go to any old restaurant as the food was insane, huge portions and we were all extremely happy. Finally I can't say enough about what a lovely lady Sarah is - truly special, and so glad we got to meet her and the fam! Thank you!!

Beautiful peaceful accommodation. A group of friends met up. Plenty of room for all to stay. Lovely and clean, the kitchen had plenty of crockery and utensils - like home from home. Beautiful welcome package - really appreciated. We walked into Llandeilo - lovely 5k walk (up hill on the way back FYI!) We loved the hot tub - ready and hot on arrival too. Thank you so much, I’m sure we’ll be back soon.

What a lovely lodge! It felt secluded and peaceful , although easy to get to the beaches & coves nearby . It was a pleasant 15 minute walk to Tresaith . A little hilly walking back - which would be an issue if you have mobility issues , but there is parking in Tresaith itself. The kitchen was very well equipped , and very clean. Just be careful of the water pressure of the taps 😂 The showers were great and there was plenty of storage . The hot tub was the star of the show and was perfect for relaxing following days of exploring the beautiful coastline . Thank you

Wow!!! What an absolutely superb house, well equipped and extremely spacious. The location was perfect for our stay, Glyn Abbey golf course was a 5 minute walk and Ffos las racecourse a 2 minute walk. Communication was spot on throughout. We will definitely return.

We had the most wonderful stay here! It was absolute bliss waking up to the sound of the river. The layout of the house was perfect, with spacious open plan family space, garden and games room during the day and we moved up to the upstairs lounge to relax of an evening while the children were sleeping. The location was perfect, 10 minutes drive to wonderful beaches and shops. We will, without doubt be returning for another stay!

A lovely little cabin, with it's own kitchen and living area and a great hot shower. The accommodation was great but the thing that really stands out is that you are nestled in the most beautiful secluded valley, with a magical river that flows just a moment away from the cabin. You can walk along the river and go for a quick dip in the refreshing water or into the woods that line the banks. Had a fire in the evening just by the water. This really is such a magical location. Perfect to get away and spend some time in nature, a wonderful hidden gem. Felt totally revitalised after our stay, looking forward to coming back.

We’ve stayed in a lot of cottages and this is the most comfortable, well stocked, spacious one we’ve had the pleasure in staying in. The garden is beautiful, the bedrooms comfortable for 2 families of 8 people, and the surrounding area is absolutely stunning. We’ll definitely be coming back.

We stayed at the Penthouse from the 15th-18th April and had a wonderful stay. The views from the lounge and main bedroom are stunning in both rain and sun. We are familiar with the area and found the apartment to be a perfect base with everything that we needed. The added touch of toiletries and condiments was a lovely bonus as we don't always find these in Air bnb's!. Mary's communication was fantastic and we had no need to make contact during our stay. Jonathan saved us by accepting a reservation quite literally at the last minute. Our original plans with a different hotel completely fell through the same day we checked in, and we were desperately trying to find somewhere to spend the night. Jonathan replied so fast and was able to accommodate us. The apartment is nicer than my own house. Spotless. Quiet. Easy checking in with clear instructions and a car parking space right outside. Exactly like the pictures. Very tranquil and would 1000% recommend. Amazing host.

This was our second stay and as before, Dan was fabulous and always available with recommendations of local restaurants, pubs and other useful bits. Would highly recommend!

We had a lovely time in Llanelli. If you want to have a quick get way from the hustle and bustle, this is the right place for you to visit. 1st, Michelle’s place is perfect. Aesthetically clean and comforting. Close to everything; restaurants, costal path, beach, children’s park. We enjoyed walking a lot. The peace and quiet I cannot get enough of. I love the little terrace facing the beach, my husband and I having coffee in there and just having a quiet time listening to beach waves, birds, nature. Michelle has given us very clear and direct instructions that we did not have any problem finding the flat. We love Cattle & Co and the coffee from St Elli’s Bay. We will definitely come back. 🫶

Suzy couldn’t have been more helpful in the build up to the booking, or welcoming once we arrived. Tidy, spacious, well maintained, the setting is very special. Highly recommend.

A lovely home from home, the apartment is furnished well, with everything you could need at hand in the kitchen. Helen and Jonathan were extremely helpful and responsive, wonderful hosts. A very cozy, warm apartment and kept very clean. Ideal location for early morning walk along the beach front or lazy stroll as the sunsets, nice views and plenty of fresh air. Parking for 1 car allocated and right on the door step also handy. If we visit the area again we would look to stay here again.

Our property was brilliantly located close to the sea front & "coastal path" . The coastal path was ideal for our elderly mum in law's electric disabled scooter. Nice tarmac surface. Several cafe's with toilets were found en route. Our property was excellent, offering ground floor accommodation ideal for our elderly relative. Lovely & comfortable property. Nice open plan kitchen with comfortable lounge . Especially liked nice bathroom area with bath & shower. Convenient car park space provided adjacent to property.

This is a true hidden gem, the photos really don’t do it justice. We were met by lovely Diane and her equally lovely husband on our arrival and welcomed into their gorgeous home. They were just so kind and caring, thoughtful and had just the right balance between making sure we were ok but not being intrusive. The cottage is set in a secluded setting, surrounded by woodland and gardens. As we arrived we were met by the sound of a Woodpecker. The birdsong was amazing. The cottage has all the amenities you need, plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses, the latter needed for the bottle of fizz waiting on our arrival. Bedrooms all large, and beds comfy. We will not hesitate to return here, and will stay for longer next time. Thank you both for such an enjoyable, relaxing stay.

Alex’s place is perfect to recharge from everyday grind..the surroundings are beautiful with lots of open space and things to do. Chalet is very clean and has everything you need. Swimming pool is the highlight despite some rain, we absolutely enjoyed each swim as covered. Views are gorgeous. Alex is there every text. Netflix was not working and he went to buy a new tv even late in the evening! He went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We highly recommend Maesgwynne and we will definitely go back again.

Lovely stay at Foxen Holes cottage with my husband, toddler & dog! Beautiful cottage in beautiful peaceful surroundings. Location was perfect, with so much to do in Saundersfoot & in Tenby. Cottage was clean. Great communication with host Joshua, booked very last minute & he was able to provide us with a highchair. Everything provided in kitchen that you need. Thank you so much for the hot drink selection and prosecco, which meant we could have a cuppa straight away after a long drive! We would love to come back & we will definitely recommend!

Welcomed on arrival. The cottages are in a beautiful location and scenery. Lovely to explore around the woodland and lake on the grounds despite the wet weather. Interesting history of how the cottages had developed over the years. Had everything we needed and helpful information given prior to arrival (e.g. Tesco delivery)

Woodpecker Cottage is a wonderful place to stay, comfortable, well-equipped, and full of charm. Gyles is a fantastic host; welcoming, thoughtful, and always happy to go the extra mile to ensure you feel at home. The log burner was a real treat and made our stay even more special. Thank you, Gyles!

We had a lovely stay at the boathouse! It was private with lovely surroundings and we got to use the pool all to ourselves! Great location and lots to do for the dog! Thankyou!

Cottage was lovely and the location was just beautiful. It was perfect for us as a family of 4 and 2 dogs. Will definitely be back
