Visit with our alpacas, horses, giant tortoises, goats, sheep, donkey and more! Wake up to sunshine, a rooster crowing and the donkey braying for breakfast! You'll experience a quiet and private stay in the tree tops within a gated property. You can walk to beautiful Moss/Asilomar beach, restaurants and spa at Spanish Bay Resort, and MPCC country club just minutes away. You can sit in the sun on the patio, have an outdoor BBQ, and cook in open layout kitchen. Also enjoy a massage by appointment outside or inside, spa tub soak, and fire by bedside in the evening. Carmel Rustic Cabin Like a Treehouse + Dog

Stay in our Carmel Rustic Cabin along with your dogs (see dog fee below) while shopping, visiting local wineries and restaurants or just walking your dog off-leash along Carmel's white sandy beach. Hidden in the woods, our rustic cabin is like a treehouse with all the amenities and minutes from downtown and the beaches. FYI the coast drive is now accessible between here and LA, but may be shut down during stormy weather, so be sure to follow local weather reports or just call Caltrans.

Petite but sweet studio built by our grandfather, Chaz, in 1940. It is one of four units formerly known as Piney Woods Lodge, where our grandparents welcomed travelers for years. We're excited to return Francy Free to its roots and hope you will join us (two sisters) in continuing their legacy. Studio is ground-level, easy to access and a short (1/2 mile) stroll through the woods to downtown and iconic Carmel beach.

The cottage is bright and cozy with its wood beams, wood floors and many windows. Open the bedroom french doors and relax with a book and a glass of wine by the gas fire pit on the private, quiet terrace and let the world go by. In the evening or on rainy days, lounge in the living room area by a cozy fireplace and enjoy the peacefulness of your home away from home.
