“Some hosts say that they love what they do, but you know that hosting is primarily a business for them---and that's quite fine. But Marco is a rare find. He truly loves they joy of journeys. As he says, "when I talk about travels with my guests, it's like I'm traveling to those places I love again and again." We intended just a short stay at Marco's fabulous and rare 1500 year old tower dwelling, but after less than an hour after meeting Marco, we had cleared his kitchen table and worked out a three month plan of Italian travel with his recommendations guiding us. From providing us with his mom's homemade jam to introducing us to his favorite restaurant contacts and Villa owners, Marco blessed us with a true travel lover's insight. If you have a chance to meet him or his family, treasure the event and take his advice!”

1200 sq ft two-story apartment inside Montagnana's Medieval walls in historic downtown. Private terrace with dreaming view. The place offers 2 elegant master bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms, fast WiFi and 2 A/C units, a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful dining room and living room. The apartment is the perfect base to visit the Northeastern area of Italy (Venice, Verona, Bologna, Mantua, Lake Garda, Valpolicella and Prosecco areas, Padua, Treviso, Vicenza..).
“Rossella was not around, but her ever so thoughtful and friendly dad came to meet us (he lives not too far away) at the two floor apartment with a bottle of sparkling water (a nice touch, as we arrived on a hot, early-June day). Silvano speaks next to no English, though we managed to communicate during the handing over of the keys to the apartment - for the rest of our stay Rossella kept in contact, asking if we needed anything and was quick to give us tips on sites to see in Verona and Padua (both a mere hour drive by car from her apartment). The place is within walking distance of a Lidl (open on Sundays too) for grocery shopping and also a couple of local cafés and stores just across the street (literally). Parking in the small town behind medieval walls is somewhat limited and can get a bit tricky when there are events going on (we experienced this mostly on the weekend). That is when people from around town are all looking to park in this small village and attend the farmers market or various wine tasting events. However, nothing too serious, but worth noting when traveling here with your own car - we did always manage to get a spot, sometimes having to drive around the town a couple of times though. If you are lucky (mostly during the week) you get to find a spot just behind the entrance of the place. The upstairs bedroom has it's own private balcony with a perfect view to the old church tower - a great way to start (breakfast) or end (red-wine dinner) a lovely day - we absolutely enjoyed our full- weeks stay at Rossella's place in Montagnana!”
