we had a great relaxing time at José's place we stayed there for 5 nights and I recommend it 1000% José is very welcoming,attentive and smiling...always ready to help caretakers who add a safe side to the space are discreet and welcoming. The neighborhood is peaceful despite the pipework that makes the road a little chaotic It's really relaxing to be there and with a rental car you can go anywhere. the place is clean and the coffee offered and the water add a friendly side to the place Thank you José if we have to come back to Santa Barbara de Samana it will definitely be in Vista Baya.👍🙂

Despite the numerous glowing reviews, Miguel's place exceeded our expectations in many ways. To begin with, Miguel and his wife Lisvette, are wonderful communicators. Besides accommodation, they offered excellent advice, and we ended up with a week of joyful adventures on the pristine beaches and environments of Samana. This included snorkeling in protected areas, a wonderful tour of the mangroves on Cano Frio near Playa Rincon, and an intriguing tour of ancient Taino petroglyphs and ritual sites, as well as numerous types of birds in los Haitises National Park. We ate mahi-mahi, red snapper, sea bass and shrimp, all very fresh. The villa itself was a sanctuary to us in the evenings, and was thoughtfully organized, well-equipped and well-tailored to our needs. The security was excellent and we always felt safe. While whaling season had peaked in February and March, we did manage to glimpse two tails and dolphins frolicking. Highly recommend.

This apartment had everything I needed from the kitchen, to the bedroom, and the washer/dryer combination. I would stay here again if I am in the area. Host is super friendly and communicates instantly.

During my travels I have encountered all kinds of adventurous experiences and pleasant stays . Absolutely nothing compares to Carolina’s exceptional kindness and professionalism. The apartment was spotless, private and the photographs are exactly what you find. Carolina attended to every question with promptness and efficiency. My husband and I had a memorable stay and I highly recommend it if looking for a private , secure and beautiful place in Las Galeras, Samana! We will definitely stay again when back.
