We had booked Hermine's house for 9 nights, were very, very friendly received by the co-host Mélanie, who looked after us very nicely in person or by phone during our entire stay with all questions. The house is very nice, cozy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need. For us, the location was ideal because we like peace and seclusion. The surrounding villages are very small and tranquil, but you can shop nearby. We did some bike tours, the paths are well developed. We also enjoyed Angoulème very much. All in all a nice stay and perfect care! Merci beaucoup à Mélanie! Note: The stairs to the upper floor are beautiful but not suitable for people who are not good on their feet. You must not enter with shoes, it has no handrail and is very irregular and smooth. But that was no problem for us.

We had a great time at Kim and Christian's place. A quiet and relaxing stay in this accommodation surrounded by nature. The sheep nearby made young and old happy! Beautiful cottage, large, comfortable and well-equipped. The bedding is quality, the garden is very beautiful, and the living spaces are very well organized. Everything is planned for a good time: games, a large kitchen dining room, a separate living room and a mezzanine . We had a lovely stay at 12, despite the rain! Thank you for your hospitality and availability! We recommend it unreservedly.

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

We stayed for a month and had an incredible time. A Beautiful countryside that is easy to explore on foot and bike. House is great and lots of cooking kit.

We stayed at Muriel's place while we visited friends in Angouleme. We enjoyed the very friendly and relaxing welcome, the clear instructions, the very quiet accommodation, well located on the ground floor of a beautiful bourgeois house, with a beautiful terrace to settle outside. There are bcp of dishes in the kitchen, which is convenient. Muriel was very responsive to our questions. We'll be back with pleasure next time in summer to enjoy the pool! Short stay at Gérard and Roselyne's, very welcoming and friendly people as are all the people I know in this corner of Charente. Beautiful apartment, very clean, quiet and comfortable. We'll save the address for a future visit.

Lovely little gîte - Suzy had thought of everything! Cosy, comfortable with lots of nice touches. Very peaceful surroundings but close enough to drive for restaurants, etc. Suzy was very responsive and full of ideas for our stay. Would fully recommend!

Alfie and I had a great time at Lee's immaculate courtyard cottage while house hunting in the area. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. A lovely, cosy place and a much appreciated and unexpected tipple awaited us after a long drive, which was very welcome! Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of decor and bed linen is first class. We are looking forward to our next stay again soon. Highly recommended.

Charming little home in a green setting. Anne and Xavier are attentive, available and friendly. We had a nice stay at their home, and were able to really enjoy nature and this beautiful area. We recommend it for a quiet stay. Some more supplies in the accommodation would be welcome (toilet paper, sugar, dishwashing liquid...) but otherwise great!

The gite was perfect & furnished beautifully. It had everything you could possibly need. It's in a quiet location which is what we wanted for a good relaxing break and was perfectly situated for a wedding venue we were attending in a nearby village. All in all a perfect holiday.

The stay went very well at Gérard's on the occasion of the comics festival. The house is close to a bakery, which is very convenient to grab yourself for lunch! The train station is also close if you don't want to take the car. The house is very comfortable with the three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We recommend!

A very nice, functional and quiet place. A responsive, very nice and accommodating host. The big plus for me, dogs are allowed and the owners love pets! My daughters and I loved our stay class.

superb accommodation, lots of charm (hardwood floors, beams, fireplace...). kitchen very well equipped with dishes and utensils. there is even an economat, dishwasher tablets.... same in the bathroom: shower gel, laundry detergent... the 4 bedrooms are huge. lots of space and games for kids, whether inside or out. the garden is splendid!! we'll come back to enjoy it without the rain!!

We had a wonderful week at Joel's, the hardest part was to leave the home , we are used to going to this accommodation and each time it's a pleasure ,if I should look for "the little beast " I might say that there is a little light missing on the pretty terrace and a barbecue . Anyway, we'll be back soon .

Ann was very available, and was very accommodating (especially on our arrival time, a thousand thanks for that) The accommodation is very large, we stayed at 14 (9 adults and 5 children) and we did not lack space (except maybe on the kitchen table in rainy weather) The exterior is huge, and great for the kids. The pool is large and its access is well secured. The game room with darts, ping, badminton... and the bike room with bike available are really a plus.

Nicole is a great host. Friendly and warm, we had a very pleasant second stay at her property. The apartment is as described. We recommend it.
