On a mountain plateau extending between Lefka Ori and the South Cretan Sea one finds the small beautiful village of Agios Ioannis considered to be one of the most isolated villages in Crete with a year-round population. Agios Ioannis is where the road ends and a network of foot paths is starting. Short and long paths lead to the mountain, to the gorges, to the sea. The sea that is also reachable by car! Petres, the greek for "stones", an old "feel like the villagers" house rebuilt in 2023.

The popular beaches of Stalos and Agia Marina are 3 km away and provide all kinds of entertainment day and night. The city of Hania is 10 km away and οur guesthouse can act as the base for every kind of exploration – archaeological, natural, adventure, entertainment etc. Guests though ,must have their own means of transport. Bicycles are available free of charge.

Για όσους θέλουν υπάρχει παραλία στα 15-20 λεπτά με τα πόδια (Naya beach bar restaurant). Επίσης προορισμός κατάλληλος για πεζοπορία απολαμβάνοντας τη θέα της γύρω περιοχής.
