This stunning minimalist-inspired home adds its own artistic flair to the decor by placing bold and exciting art pieces throughout every room. The gallery and apartment is owned by an artist, who designed the space to show his work. Guests will have access to the whole gallery, but for rent is only the private apartment adherent to the gallery, including a small kitchen, a combined living sleeping area with a loft style bathtub and attached separate bathroom with shower. The other sleeping area can be separated by movable walls and has an extra bathroom with shower and toilet as well. Guests also have access to the back yard until 10 pm. Our aim is, to welcome all our guests personally and show them around and help them getting started in Berlin. Since we are also living in Berlin we are happy to help if any difficulties occur during the stay. It's Mitte, means closed to all cultural attractions, shopping and nightlife, but still quiet and you don't feel like living in a "bar". I like to call it the "new quiet Mitte" since recently a lot of luxury apartment buildings were constructed next to existing architecture, so it's for Mitte a pretty quiet neighbourhood, but Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie, Alexanderplatz, Friedrichstraße are all within easy walking distance (10min) Subway station (U-Bhf) Spittelmarkt 2 min walk. Several busses 3 min walk at Leipziger Str. Walking distance to Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie, Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstraße about 10 min. You can only access your apartment through the gallery, which may be gently used by the artist. Your apartment is private and will during your stay not be accessed by us. Apartment: Very quiet apartment, first floor in renovated rebuilt factory with a beautiful inner courtyard with look at the old Villa. The apartment has a separate entrance in the west wing of a factory redeveloped in 2001 in the center of Berlin. The base is approx. 28 sqm. The ceiling height amounts to 3,20/3,25 m. By the 1.6 m wide and up to 2.5 m high windows the apartment is very bright. It is tastefully furnished. In two comfortable cocktail armchairs you can relaxe well after impressive town inspections . The double bed is equipped with a very good latex mattress. The shower is dimensioned generously. Toilet and basins are high-quality products of Villeroy & Boch and Keramac, Grohe's fittings. For self-sufficiency there are a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, water and egg boiler. Cable-TV and radio are available. Surroundings: Despite the extremely quiet location, you are reaching on foot at the Potsdamer-Platz or at the subway or bus-station in 5 minutes. It is available for approaching supply (bakery, goods of the daily need or pharmacy) in the Potsdamer-Strasse or Potsdamer-Platz. My place is very close to the legendary Checkpoint Charlie, otherwise close to Leipziger Platz LP12 Mall of Berlin, CinemaxX Berlin Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburg Gate Pariser Platz and TV Tower Alexanderplatz.
