Farmstay vacation rentals in Chittenden County

The farmhouse was a perfect location and a great place to gather with our siblings. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well appointed, and the space worked well for us. Carol was ver responsive as a host. We would come back again.

We had an absolutely magical vacation at Brian’s beautiful farmhouse in Vermont! The house is filled with a stunning collection of vintage items that made our stay feel so unique and special. Every corner had something interesting to admire, and it really added to the charm of the place. The surroundings were peaceful and perfect for our family getaway. Brian was an incredibly responsive and helpful host, always making sure we had everything we needed. His hospitality truly made our trip unforgettable. We can’t recommend this place enough – it was a key part of our wonderful experience in Vermont!

Sierra is extremely responsive, understands the ski mentality and very considerate of our group. Thank you so much, we enjoyed spending quality time by the fireplace and of course the super close by Mad River Glen access!!!!!!

Samantha and Chris's place was a perfect spot for a Smugglers Notch getaway! it's a beautiful home, perfect for a family of 4. Even in cold temperatures( at -5F and lower) with lots of snow, the place was cozy warm with the wood burning furnace (clean and devoid of smoke) as well a propane heater downstairs. Literally 2 turns from the slopes of a great family ski mountain! But the views and location of the property were amazing for those wanting to do other things than ski. Samantha was responsive and an excellent communicator. I have to throw in that everything in their kitchen was in excellent condition (every appliance) including sharp functional chef knives (an uncommon phenomenon for a renter) Thank you Samantha and Chris! Sharing your home with us was a touch- stone of great new family memories!

We could not have asked for a better place for our eclipse adventure. The two bedroom cabin was spotlessly clean, well-appointed, cute and plenty of space for the 4 of us. We loved being out in the woods and enjoyed our walks around the pond enormously. Easy to get to restaurants and other activities, but away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Not a thing to complain about, and would definitely recommend to anyone!

Amazing place and Elaine was great host! Beautiful home with peaceful surroundings. Kids enjoyed the animals (Rosie and Felicia). This stay was key to a great trip. 😁

Beautiful antique home filled with so many goodies...interesting books to browse, toys and games for the kids, quiet nooks to sit and read or nap, plus communal spaces with plenty of seating. The location is very private with fields and woods to explore right out the door. This was our second time staying and we still hadn't explored everything. Civilization is only 20 minutes away but this place is a gem that feels like a peaceful refuge.

This home was everything listed and more. The descriptions are accurate and you can tell this is a family home that is well loved. It was comfortable and homey because of it. It is an older farmhouse but well maintained. The views are absolutely stunning and it as about as Vermont as you can get. Would recommend using the outdoor shower for quite the fun experience. Would recommend an SUV for the roads and there are a step or two up into the house for those who may need extra assistance! We will be back when we are in VT.

Heaven on earth! Our stay was everything we could have dreamed of, as we looked for a romantic getaway. The room was pristine and homey, and we had a full spa experience in the decadent bathroom. Leanne is a formidable chef, and handled our food restrictions with grace. The breakfast was Michelin-star-worthy! And Leanne & David took such good care of us: gave us plenty of privacy but were perfectly available whenever we had a question. They pointed us to great hiking and an excellent bakery. I only wish our stay had been longer. We will definitely return. 10/10 recommend. If you want a luxury getaway, an escape into beauty & elegance, and the comforts of home - this is the place! LOVED our stay!!

Kathryn was an incredible host. She was always super friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and had all the listed amenities. The bed was massive, me and my friend fit with enough space for another person between us. If you're looking for an affordable place, you can't get much better than this for 2-3 people.

We had a wonderful stay at Mark’s cabin. We skied at Stowe and although it was about 50 minutes away, it was an easy drive and close enough to other local things to do. I would definitely return in the future!

Libby's place was comfortable, clean, and cozy. It is beautiful, well-maintained, and appropriately furnished. We loved the country cabin decor and feel of the entire place. The property is absolutely stunning, right on Lake Champlain, with beautiful views of the lake. The surrounding area within the property is gorgeous, with lots of easy and peaceful walking through nature. It is conveniently located within 10 minutes of gas station, and a well-appointed convenience/grocery store. Checking in was easy, and communicating with Libby was fantastically easy. Libby was attentive, responsive, and friendly- both online and offline. We will definitely bookmark Libby's place as a regular get-away destination for our family.

This was our second time staying at Leanne’s! We came two years ago and have not stopped talking about it since. When we got married we knew we had to come back to celebrate! Leanne’s cooking is impeccable, creative and delicious. The house is beautiful and she really makes you feel at home. She provides the best recommendations for restaurants, breweries and activities in the area. It is an absolute pleasure to stay and we can’t wait to be back!

This is a wonderful place to stay: spacious, bright, and immaculately clean. We loved the location in the midst of the countryside yet close to inviting small towns and the city of Burlington. Nearby Raven Ridge is a great hike with some stunning views. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer.

This was our third stay with Doug and Robyn. Our daughter and her husband live down the road so the location wins a lot of points. Beautiful and peaceful site outside and large, open, but cozy space inside. You're likely to find beer, sparkling water, a bit of cheese and some eggs from the on-site coop when you arrive along with full setup for coffee and tea.

Rachel’s place is a gorgeous, modern run, tranquil spot directly next to a babbling spring. Comfortable, cozy, fully appointed kitchen, everything you need to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Rachel herself was flexible, communicative, and helpful. Wonderful spot and hosts!

This is such a special location and beautiful house! We also got lucky as we arrived the day after a big snow, so lots of downhill skiing and snowshoeing activity for the family. It's a peaceful and elegant place and Leigh has really thought of everything you could need. Comfortable beds, beautiful linens, beautifully designed living space and lighting. Fully equipped kitchen (because of Covid we used frequently), comfy sofas, nooks with chairs for quiet time/reading.

My group had a wonderful stay. Maude provided all the info you could need before arriving. The cabin had plenty of cookware and supplies to last our stay. Everything was clean, easy to use, and Maude was very responsive to any inquiries. I would stay here again!

We absolutely loved this beautiful one bedroom Airbnb! It was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Being on a farm was a plus. The views from every window were gorgeous. The two sheep out the back window were so cute. The set up is perfect and we loved just hanging out in the kitchen and living room. Super comfortable furniture. We cooked two dinners without a problem since the kitchen had everything we needed. I highly recommend this Airbnb. One of the best we have stayed at! We will be back! Thanks, Tim and Becca!

From booking to checkout Damien was an awesome host. The house was as fun as the pictures made it look and the views amazing despite the weather. Its not every day you get to stay in a house like this, its amazing he shares it with others this way. We will be back.

We had a great holiday weekend in Charlotte at Robert's apartment. It was close to the mountains we wanted to climb and a nature preserve where we skied. Close to Burlington and Middlebury where we found dinner each night. The apartment is cozy and comfortable; really a delightful place. We also met Robert who was funny and the perfect host. We stayed during a massive winter storm that dumped so much snow on the area and Robert was always very interested in making sure we could get out of the driveway! There were also thoughtful snacks and what not for us when we arrived which is such a nice bonus. We will definitely check to see if the apartment is available the next time we come to VT. Thank you so much, Robert! We hope to stay with you again soon.

5 mins from Smugglers Notch, and equal distance to Stowe and Jay. Really great place.

This is a very charming farm home, recently renovated including excellent climate control. We loved having such a large place to ourselves, at a very reasonable price, within striking distance of Smuggler's Notch. Richard directed us to use the garage for our car, which was a great perk, particularly in the winter! The one thing holding this place back: The beds, which were very squeaky and unstable wooden bed frames with uncomfortable mattresses.
