5 minutes from all local amenities: shops, take aways, pubs & café. (Waterford: 15 min drive, Kilkenny: 25 mins. & Rosslare (ferry) 1 .5 hours, Cork Airport 1.5 hrs). Ideal location for exploring the Sunny South East. Pros: Rustic charm, relaxed ambiance, tranquil setting amidst mature woodland by a babbling stream, a unique opportunity to stay in a renovated old corn mill. Perfect place to escape the hectic pace of modern life. Ideal for couples, families (with kids), big groups, girlie nt
“The house has great character. My husband and I and 5 kids enjoyed exploring the yard, the stream, the large house, games provided, wood-burning stoves, and the cat. :) Margo communicated wonderfully with us and was flexible when we ran an hour later than expected. Wonderful accommodations overall and we enjoyed our stay! Of note- no WiFi which was fine with us...the teenagers had to go outside to use data/service, LOL.”
Beautifully restored cottage located on a working farm in peaceful Kilkenny countryside between Mullinavat, Piltown and Mooncoin. We are within 30 minutes drive of Waterford, Kilkenny and Clonmel. Fantastic views and long quite walks are promised. A stones throw from the beautiful Curraghmore estate, Comeragh mountains with the spectacular Mahon Falls and Coumshingaun Lake and Slievenamon. The Deise Greenway and Copper Coast beaches are easily accessed nearby.
“Beautiful cottage in a scenic setting! We (family of 4) really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there was tea, coffee and essentials supplied, we brought our own milk, bread and snacks. Our children had lots of fun on the tree swing and walking around the field looking at the animals. Our daughter also enjoyed playing with the owners children. Lovely family! The cottage is 15 minutes into Waterford, which we spent most of our time. Great stay, would recommend 100%”
Our newly renovated private apartment is part of our family property in a quiet area of beautiful Tramore and is minutes from beach and town centre. Doneraile Walk, cliffs and sea views next to property. Private decking & BBQ area. Air-conditioning for heat/cooling.
“My wife is from Tramore so we know the area well, and have stayed with relatives there many many times. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we thought it would be best to stay in a place of our own for a 5-day staycation. Dermot and Jane’s place is in a gorgeous location, at the Doneraile Walk and just a few minutes walk to the town, so we were delighted to find it available. It was absolutely fantastic to stay in too. It is a perfect space for a couple, and well equipped with loads of lovely touches. With the private deck area in front of the room, we were able to have friends and family call over too. Dermot and Jane are wonderful hosts, and have a knowledge and enthusiasm for their surroundings and amenities that is infectious. Dermot even dropped in some fresh caught mackerel and some dillisk to taste! It was great to have the Doneraile walk at the end of the garden, and to pop out to walk, swim or read so easily. We would highly recommend staying here.”
