“We loved the Bothy and felt at home as soon as we arrived. Rosie is so friendly and welcoming and the space is spotless and there are so many special little touches such as roses from the garden, homemade cake and jams. Sadly we didn’t have a chance to explore the beautiful and extensive garden but every time we looked out we were able to admire the splendid cedar tree in all its glory! Rosie’s place is in the most fantastic location, close to London and yet within easy reach of a number of NT properties and Gatwick airport, should you need it. We can’t wait to go back in a couple of weeks to explore the area further”

“Very pleasantly surpised with this place. It is extremely clean and perfectly balanced between minimalist and practical, i had everything i needed and more and there wasnt unnecessary clutter. The hospitality was genuinely outstanding, the host is very kind and easy to deal with. The fridge and shelves were already fully stacked with food - very convinient, on top of that there is a big tesco's a minute walk away. The location is very accessible to the airport and gatwick centre. One thing i was worried about was the state of the bathroom/shower but to my surprise the whole bathroom was very inviting, both clean and spacious, i found myself looking forward to the morning shower instead of dreading it which i have found with other places. One thing that really stood out was the conditions for sleeping, usually i take a while to fall asleep however this place has a very well functioning airconditioning system and a comfy bed with the ability to make the room almost pitch black, i was out like a light every night consistently. All in all there isnt anything i could fault the place on, brilliant experience. 10/10”

“Catherine's home was the perfect place for us to get out of the city and enjoy a restful few days in beautiful countryside. The property is spacious and full of nature, with cute dogs and even some horses and a pig on the fields at the bottom of the garden. The cabin was very comfortable, and Catherine was very helpful with all of our questions and with cooking and barbecue facilities. Her breakfast is high quality and delicious, and it was a great pleasure to enjoy eating outside in the garden. We would gladly stay again if we return to that area! The only thing to be aware of is that it is countryside internet service, and while Catherine's devices worked well with the wifi everywhere, our devices only managed to connect sometimes outside of the cabin. For us that was a welcome digital detox, but just to be aware of device variability in case internet is important for you. We are very grateful to Cath for the lovely (and spontaneous) time!”
