Family-friendly vacation rentals in Darling Downs

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here, we were 4 adults and their dogs. The rooms were great, views were fantastic and communication was so easy. We will definitely be hoping to visit again.

Lovely, relaxing place to stay. We loved our stay, the house was very clean, the views were great, and Rob was a great host!

It's hard to find a great place that can accommodate 3 full family's comfortably. The cinema was a huge hit with the kids and the spacious kitchen area and BBQ meant it no one was tripping over anyone else come dinner time. No direct neighbours meant the kids could play outside with their ball games and ride their bikes without the constant yelling to 'keep it down'. Great spot!

Curlew Retreat is absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful, peaceful place in the countryside. It is perfect for couples who enjoy a quiet environment. You can hear the river flowing in the gorge nearby and it’s also great to explore. We took our dog and had lots of walks around the property. We always kept her on a lead as there are horses and cattle roaming around and they definitely are very wary of dogs as they should be. We loved our stay at Curlew Retreat and didn’t want to leave. We’ll definitely go back hopefully for a little longer next time. Thanks to Greg for sharing this beautiful place!

Rudy and Maria's accomodation at Casito de Bosque is second to none. It is a beautifully furnished house with quality furniture and fittings. Situated in natural bushland on a small holding with a vineyard and a few other houses. If you are looking for a break offering peace and quiet this is it. It is a short drive to Stanthorpe and there is plenty to do in the Area if you want. Rudy and Maria were friendly Hosts and are very aware of what their Guests would like . Thank you Both for a very special , memorable stay . We hope our "pathes" cross again.

We had a lovely family getaway at Nathan’s - everything you need for a relaxing time away & so close to Maleny - views are beautiful & coffee machine was a hit along with the pool table, clean and tidy & perfect spot to relax with our fur babies too ! The wine & treats were such a lovely touch - thanks for having us

The cottage - just beautiful! It was so homely, welcoming & smelt divine! The attention to detail was incredible - warm cozy blankets, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. It had everything you needed. We loved the old charm cottage style with beautiful decor and amazing hosts who are extremely welcoming. The nights were cold enough for a warm fire, beautiful sunsets and we were able to disconnect from mobile and tv devices while travelling to local sights/ towns during the day. Can’t wait to come back!

Robyn’s little cottage was one of the best we have ever stayed in, so well presented, beautiful furnished, very comfy bed. Felt like being at home. The special goodies in the fridge for us were a delight. Just all the very personal touches were spot on. Robyn and her husband were certainly the best of hosts. Would thoroughly recommend to have a stopover in Warwick for a few days.

Simply a delightful country escape. What a magical location! It was the perfect spot for our young family (and Labrador) to relax and unwind. Clean and homely. Great location. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Warren and his wife Vass were very nice. We went as a small family with 7m old baby and 2 yrs old dog. I believe our dog had best time ever to run around and met some new animals as friends. Patch(the dog mother) was very nice with us, even we wnt for long walk, she always around us. Our baby may not remember this journey but she actually having a good chance to look around and close with their friendly cows. Finally, my husband and I are very relax, we woke up early than usual to have a deep breath in the nature, night time, we saw lots of stars that can easy take pics with mobile. We will definitely visit again when our girl grows a bit older. highly recommend

The most perfect and peaceful cottage stay! We absolutely adored the charm of this little cottage, and will be highly recommending to friends who would appreciate a quaint and relaxed holiday. Beautiful area. The view is something that our family could definitely live with 24/7. Nothing like laying in a hammock watching the cows peacefully munching in the paddock and the beautiful view of the bluff. Lovely old home. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and could have spent their whole stay in it!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Woodspring Farm. Been and Sarah made me feel right at home. I loved having the doggo keeping me company in the arvo as I was travelling solo so she was great company. I enjoyed having a pool to jump in each arvo after long mornings out exploring and bird watching. Sarah dropped me off fresh sausages from the farm, bread, milk and butter. Ben gave me a very informative and fun tour of thier farm and some of the state forest as well. plus Eye Fillet steak from thier farmI had for dinner tonight. OMG soooo yum. The bed was super comfy too.

Very well set up property with everything you could need. Lena was very helpful and responsive. Thank you for having us and our fur baby!

A very special property. loved all the unique touches. beautiful gardens. lovely cosy bedding. fantastic pizza oven and so many different spaces for larger groups to relax. our entire group had a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

How is this a real place! Absolutely beautiful as soon as you hit the gate. Stayed here for a wedding at Crows Nest and all of us agreed we would stay here again. I put up a few photos on my socials and had several people ask where we were staying, it looked that enticing! Thank you Julie for opening up your beautiful home.

A world away from everything, this place allows you to relax and unwind in the best ways. We sat around the outside fire as the sun went down and witnessed a full moon over the escarpment, while the kids played darts and table tennis. The plunge pool was a beautiful touch off the deck of the house, and is slightly warmed so we could still enjoy now in autumn. The cottage itself is absolutely gorgeous, very homely warm and comfortable.
