Vacation rentals in Derby

The most beautiful farm stay in some of the most picturesque countryside of Tasmania. Tara was a lovely hostess, full of recommendations for nearby things to do and also generously gave us some of the farms produce! The only issue we had is that we didn’t stay long enough. We would come back in a heartbeat.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mannaburne Cabin. Little hard to get to at first and the last bit of road is certainly a bit of a challenge but once we got there we were thrilled with it. Beautiful tranquil setting and the cabin itself is stunning the way it is set up. Very tastefully decorated and everything provided that you need for a comfartable stay. Fully functinable kitchen and comfy bed. Massive shower and good water pressure. The only thing for us that let it down a bit was the garden around it that doesn't seem to get looked after any more and the fact that the outside couch (which would he really lovely to lay on and relax) doesn't get covered and obviously little and large animals go and use it as their toilet......hence quite smelly and not that pleasant. Also found the windows and doors quite dirty. Anyway.....all in all had a wonderful stay there and would recommend it to everyone.

I’ve stayed here twice now as I absolutely love this place. Perfect location as it’s just a short ride to the Blue Derby trailhead but it’s far enough away from the restaurants, pubs and other people to be so peaceful. The unit had everything we needed and the bike shed and rack is super handy. The beds are very comfy and the bathroom and kitchen were great. There is even a beautiful view from the front deck.

An awesome space that can fit many in relative comfort

We had a fantastic stay at Sawmiller’s cottage! The house had everything we needed for our few days there and it felt so homely. We were able to enjoy all of the gorgeous spaces in the cottage, the back deck and bath overlooking the view were particularly relaxing. The kitchen was beautifully appointed and the bedrooms very cozy. Mark was a fantastic host, very responsive to my messages and provided thoughtful recommendations for the local area. Will definitely be returning to Sawmiller’s cottage again!!
