Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Desert Ridge, Phoenix

We absolutely loved our relaxing and enjoyable getaway. It was our first time visiting Tempe. The location was great for my husband and I for walking to burn off the calories of all the food and drinking we did, with a very short walk to the river where we watched the sun set each evening. The pool was relaxing and peaceful (no screaming children or families taking over the pool). The only thing I would change is that when we checked in (they allowed early check-in, which was amazing) we couldn't figure out how to get the fob to open the door. It was user error. The directions were clear with pictures of each step along the way. Tiko had a friend meet us to show us how to use the fob, and we did not have to wait at all. Tiko was extremely responsive to anything we needed, from booking to checking out. I highly recommend this rental - it was very clean, with a great agent, and a perfect location with beautiful places to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather. We would rent this unit again!

Jays was a great host! The unit was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and neighbors. Enjoy the pools and workout areas. Short drive to shopping centers and restaurants. Will definitely rent from Jay again.

Dana's place was exactly what we needed for our stay with our baby and pup. As long as you understand that you're on campus and this complex houses university students then Dana's place is excellent. Super friendly and always responsive.

Amazing place to stay in downtown Phoenix. Very walkable and safe location. Super comfy and beautiful apartment, and instructions were all super clear and easy to follow.

Very nice, spacious and new apartment with great amenities and location - we loved the pool area! The host was very responsive when we had questions about getting into the complex. Super easy access to the highway and lots of shopping, restaurants, grocery stores nearby. Our only suggestion is to offer more seating (such as a bistro table) for mealtimes and to relax on the outdoor patio. Overall a nice place, a minor furniture upgrade would make it great!

Truly enjoyed the getaway, as it was just close enough to an event nearby, and still an oasis of calm and beautiful clean design, which is what we love. Would stay there again for sure - great hosts!

DaNuta's Tempe rental was very clean and comfortable. So many little touches like the motion sensored night light and the sound panels that made the stay feel like home. Very detailed instructions for parking and check in that were so helpful. The covered parking spot is a plus as well. The location has easy access to anywhere in the Phoenix area. I would definitely stay there again and I hope I get the chance to do so.

This is our second time staying and we enjoyed it once again. I highly recommend it!

Great location, accessible to and from freeways. Melissa was quick to respond to my emails. Condo was very comfortable and had all amenities listed. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Everything on the listing was exactly as expected. It was very clean and always felt safe. Great location with many things in walking distance. The pool area was quiet and relaxing however the rules were pretty strict. We would have enjoyed being able to have a drink next to us while in the pool

I enjoyed my stay; unit is very comfortable. And i was pleasantly surprised that the pool was warm(i assume it is heated). Location is great, can walk to 5th ave and so many shops and restaurants in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location was perfect — we were able to walk to Old Town. The pool was a great bonus, especially with it being cooled, which made it perfect for the hot days. The place was super clean when we arrived, with fresh vacuumed carpets and everything tidy and ready for us. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed during April 2025: This AirBnB was exactly what I was looking for. The location was perfect, very close to restaurants, bars, and shops that you can walk to. Also plenty of stores nearby to get groceries/necessities. The pool was our favorite; very clean and had sunny areas all day long. And the AirBnB isn’t far from the pool area. The AirBnB was pretty clean and organized, and was stocked with coffee, kitchen necessities, toiletries, and more. The balcony was great as well. I tried using the mobile app to unlock the door but mine wasn’t working, thankfully there is also a code option (but ended up to not matter since the door was actually unlocked on our arrival), but there is a key inside that you can also use during your stay or the lock code the host provides. Overall extremely happy with our stay and will definitely use this same AirBnB when we come back if it’s available!!

We were looking for a peaceful retreat and this was a perfect spot. Gabriel was helpful and responsive both prior to booking and upon arrival. While we didn’t need anything during our stay, I felt confident he would have replied should I have asked any questions. Photos and list of amenities documented the space well so we knew what we were getting! This was a great spot for the two of us!

We enjoyed our stay in Phoenix. The hosts were very nice and responsive. We had a couple of questions during our stay and they were very quick to respond.

Very nice and spacious. I didn’t realize how close it was to the Kierland golf course and hotel. You can literally walk five minutes to the golf course. If you were trying to go to the hotel, you just walk another five minutes through. There is a Starbucks and grocery store about a five minute walk away as well. I did not use the cooler gym, but it was nice. They do have coffee set up for you in the condo. Nice feature.

Loved the home. it has everything you need for a wonderful visit. Our family of 4 fit perfectly in the house with room to spare. The heated pool was a huge draw. We hope to be back soon.

Positives: We had a great stay at this house. The pool and covered patio were great for outdoor lounging. The temps in Scottsdale for our trip were in the low 70s, so it was excellent weather for sitting outside. The covered patio was very large, and the poolside had 2 fold up umbrellas, so there was plenty of shade. Check in was easy and the host had great communication. The kitchen/dining area was well stocked with utensils, plates, and cookware. The neighborhood was good and safe and the house was in easy walking distance to a park. The location was great for us as we spent most of our time in Scottsdale and Tempe. The house has quick access to both. Negatives: Could use some touch up paint in all interior rooms. The bed slats were not in place when we arrived, so one corner of the bed was sunken. We were able to fix this. We did opt for the heated pool, but it was still kind of cold.

Wonderful home with an amazing backyard! The location couldn't have been better. Definitely felt right at home the moment we opened the front door. Wished we had more time to enjoy everything! Would absolutely book again. Thank you, Joseph, for such a terrified stay!!

The home was well stocked with amenities that you would have in your own home. It is set up for the kids as well as adults. Spacious and in a great location. Jennifer was ultra responsive.
