Relax in an oasis of greenery from spring to early autumn, a beautiful warm autumn feeling when the trees change color or seek coziness in the winter months. In the beautiful surroundings, there are many places to visit. Giethoorn, fortified town Steenwijk and the Havelterheide. Furthermore, there are three national parks nearby, NP Weerribben Wieden, the Drents Friese Wold and the Dwingelderveld.

Dolersum is located in the Drents-FrieseWold nature reserve. Doldersum is a hamlet with 80 inhabitants, there is only a farm shop "De Zevenkoeien", which makes its own cheese and sells organic meat in addition to dairy products.
