It looks cozy, those lawns between the trees. Smûk, we say in Frisian. As many as 250 species of birds and many other animals live here. The area also received a gift of pingos from the Ice Age. Located between two national parks: Lauwersmeer and De Alde Feannen. Ideal cycling and hiking area.

Stay in the 125-year-old Wierums Hûske just 50 meters from the sea dike. Visit the Waddenzee and go in search of the seals, come mudflat walking, go bird watching in Lauwersoog, a day of shopping in Dokkum or Leeuwarden, cross over to the Wadden Islands, take a hike or go cycling in the area. The cottage is renovated and equipped with every comfort. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs with 4 sleeping places. There is an equipped kitchen. You can park the car in the private driveway.

Relax in our cottage on the coast. Use all your senses in the discovery of "our" Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can enjoy hiking, biking and bird watching. For day trips, you can be in Leeuwarden, Groningen or on Schiermonnikoog or Ameland within an hour. Have you ever been to the beautiful Dokkum? It is only 12 km away. The peace and quiet of Friesland and the coziness of the Elfstedenstad Dokkum are 5 minutes away by bike. You will find that in this renovated cottage. The guesthouse is located on the grounds of an authentic Frisian kop-hals-romp farm, is detached and has its own terrace. This provides a lot of peace and privacy. The farm is out of business. Over the years, a beautiful bio-diverse (picking) garden has been created. Guests are welcome to pick a flower, fruit or fresh herbs.
