The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

The house is located in the most beautiful spot in the Netherlands, in the middle of the beautiful nature reserve De Weerribben. Located directly on the water, there is every opportunity to rent boats, canoes, bicycles or a sup. The farm is located on the Zuiderzeepad and many bicycle junctions. The spacious apartment has 2 separate bedrooms for a total of 4 people. Optionally, a third bedroom/studio can be booked separately, only in combination with the apartment. The peaceful East Pûnsmiet Chalet in an orchard

For those who enjoy being surrounded by nature, this peaceful chalet is the ideal place to relax. The chalet is very private and set in an orchard of just over a third of a hectare. (A pûnsmiet is an old Friesian word for a third of a hectare). It is a perfect place for those who want to indulge their creativity in writing or drawing. The beautiful views towards the dyke and into the orchard are unique in this Friesian landscape, where the sunsets are spectacular and ever changing.
