The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

Even though we are secluded, we have all the comforts of home, from indoor plumbing and hot water to AC and Wi-Fi. Our TV has a Firestick, so bring your streaming accounts and relax night away after you retire from roasting Smores on the outdoor firepit. Rio Vista Park, Great place to relax, so peaceful. The home is in a neighborhood with a private boat ramp that is on the Rainbow River, 5 minute walk or ride to a private 3 acre park, with FREE use of the kayaks, paddle boards and tubes for the river. A golf cart is on site to tow the trailer for the kayaks down to the ramp. Fishing gear and bikes to enjoy also. No smoking, no pets and no parties please.
