“A comfortable, cozy stay with great hosts. The hosts were responsive and friendly; this is the first host I had which came over to introduce themselves. We liked that it seemed the hosts took having a clean place (especially during covid-19) very seriously. It just feels home-like. It's quiet, has access to great recreation, and kitchen is solid for cooking. It's great to sit outside and enjoy the environment. I think the other reviews get it right, it is hard to find other details to add. It is just an easy place to like. Keep in mind the location; it is rural (and that's a good thing). There aren't a ton of restaurants; this more a bring-food-and-cook kind of place. It's a chill place to enjoy the company of those you are travelling with while exploring the area. We'd absolutely stay here again!”
Private entrance to a spacious bed & bath. Enjoy 1,000 feet of Hermosa Creek that runs through our secluded 8 acre creekside property. Relax in the hot tub on the backyard deck while enjoying a beautiful view of the red cliffs and creek! Located just 15 minutes from downtown Durango, 20 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort, and 5 minutes to Trimble Hot Springs. There is also a cafe, gas station, and liquor store half a mile away. This location is truly one of a kind!
“Spent a total of 4 days/nights exploring Durango, Ouray, and Telluride area. Two nights were spent at John & Toshiko's place, and our time there FAR exceeded any of the other accommodations along the way (including a very nice place in Telluride)! The property was spectacular, and the room/suite was super nice. Private, clean, nice appointments, etc. John and Toshiko were very nice, including when we lost track of time and were a bit noisy after the prescribed 'quiet time' the first night. They reached-out with a gentle reminder regarding our noise, and all was well. I would highly recommend for anyone (single or couple) looking for a great place in Durango!!!”

“My husband and I had a great 4 day stay at Stacy's studio. I felt the space was plenty big for the two of us and our luggage without feeling on top of each other. Fully understood going in it did not have a kitchen but appreciated and used the mini refrigerator and some of the other kitchenware provided. Location is on one end of town but very walkable to anywhere in town. Stacy was very responsive to questions/ messages prior to stay. Studio was very clean and had no concern regarding Covid-19 with the precautions Stacy takes and items provided in room. Highly recommend Stacy's studio.”
