Cozy Mountain Mimosa Retreat was amazing! The views from the house are beautiful! The house is exactly as advertised! The neighborhood/area is so quiet and peaceful, very nice to just relax on the wrap around porch with morning coffee or drinks in the evening to watch the sunset! The rooms are big, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are nice and stocked with plenty of towels. The kitchen has all of the supplies you need for sure. The couch is very cozy and the blankets are even better! We came for a ski trip and we went to Angel Fire and Red River so this house was perfect because it was about 15-20 mins from both. There was a herd of about 200 elk on the mountain side every day we were there so it was cool to watch them in the morning and evenings they were only about 200 yards from the house at times! I would certainly recommend this house to anyone wanting a relaxing and peaceful trip to the Angel Fire / Red River area! Thanks for having us!

It was amazing to get out of the city and unplug for a few days at Kimby’s cabin! The nights were chilly (mid October) which was perfect for using the wood stove and cozing up. We explored Eagles Nest, Red River, and Taos during our stay. All beautiful! Would 100% return and already planning to! Recommend using a four-wheel drive vehicle, as the dirt road is a bit rocky but my Toyota Camry handled it just fine with some patience and good driving. Unsure if I would trust the Camry in icy weather however. That’s the only note!

Don’s cabin was amazing! He went above and beyond as a host (even asked for our sheet preference). He was the most responsive host that I have ever had. The cabin was an authentic lake cabin that was cozy and had everything we needed. It’s a great spot if you are skiing at Angel Fire as it was 15min drive from driveway to parking lot. It’s also only 20min away to Red River and great restaurants/shopping. We really enjoyed the mud room to store skis/snowboard and wet clothes/boots. He even left us some hot chocolate and popcorn. We also really enjoyed making a fire in the cabin. Highly recommend this spot and Don as a host.
