Private cosy traditional log cabin on the lake, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Lovely peaceful get away from it all in an area of natural outstanding beauty, yet just ten minutes drive from Royal Tunbridge Wells, with all the culture, bars, restaurants and shops. The pretty village of Lamberhurst has lots of pubs to offer, with top quality food and local ales. Trains to London are 1 hour from Frant station. Nearby attractions include Scotney Castle, Bewl Water and Bedgebury Pinetum.
“Fern was a great host! We particularly liked that she welcomed us when we arrived but we were then left to it, knowing there was a walkie talkie in the lodge if we needed to get hold of her. The lodge is beautifully decorated, and is exactly as pictured! Very clean, quiet and relaxing! The lodge has everything you need for a perfect stay, and we loved the little extra touches provided by Fern, particularly the games, DVDs and hot choc/marshmallows she left in the lodge! There is lots of outdoor space, with beautiful views over the lake, sun loungers are provided on the decking area with table/chairs, as well as a bbq area which we made great use of! Would highly recommend the lodge and we will definitely be going back! Emily and Jamie”

The Old Stables is close to fields and open space and it is in the middle of countryside and yet only 40 minutes by train from London. Very private and secluded with its own courtyard garden. There is a lovely woodburning stove and unlimited free wood to burn. There is a king size bed with luxurious bed linen. Help yourself to vegetables from the garden. Prime location for visiting spectacular selection of English castles and gardens, notably: Sissinghurst, Leeds, Ightham Mote and Scotney castle
“We had a lovely restful stay at Philippa’s. The Old Stables was very private, and peaceful with beautiful countryside surrounding it. The bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big walk in shower. The courtyard outside had the sun all day, great for breakfast and BBQ. The surrounding area was beautiful, we visited Sissinghurst Castle Gardens and Bewl Water. We hope to come back and live in this area one day. Phillipa also gave us some nice recommendations for places to visit for food etc and was easily contactable. There was a quaint village shop nearby which was very handy too.”
